This place is now the Lime Kiln. It's another small, single bar Bristol pub with just a couple of other customers in. Luckily some of the anarchist protesters attempted to enter as we arrived. But I don't think their lager of choice was available. We were happy enough with the ale selection though - Staggeringly Good Veloci Rapture, Byatts American Brown Ale, Yeovil Star Gazer, Vibrant Forest Vienna Pale Ale, Church End EU & Fat Cat Porter. Cider was Sandford Orchards Devon Mist. A CAMRA discount is offered.

New landlord (March 2012) and now open until 11pm again with plans for a later licence. Four well kept real ales. Very friendly bar staff. Great location near the center of town. Discount given to CAMRA members.

This pub has recently re-opened after being shut for some time, which is great to see. As yet though, it closes at 7:00pm during the week (Monday � Thursday) so bear this in mind if you�re making a special trip. It�s quite a small pub, being split in to a bar area at the front, and an even tinier snug at the rear.
It�s a while since I have been in here, so I�m not sure how much has changed, but it�s still pretty much the same as far as I recall, although the loos have clearly been retiled and tidied up. The main bar at the front has a carpeted floor with lino around the bar, some wood panelling on the lower part of the wall with plenty of photographs and paintings up above, a small fire place and a small wood panelled bar. There is a brick backdrop behind the bat that looks as though it may have been a chimney breast at one time. A solitary black beam runs across the ceiling and this was adorned with horse brasses.
There�s a couple of tables outside to watch the world go by, and a basic food menu is offered. This was chalked on boards above the bar and consisted of Lasagne, Bangers & Mash, Burgers, Ham Egg & Chips, etc, with most dishes being around the �6 mark. There was also a selection of rolls in a basket on the bar counter. Barmaid seemed friendly enough, and most drinks were �2.50 a pint on Saturday�s which suited me just fine as that�s when I was there.
Beers on tap were Butcombe and London Pride. There was a third pump on the bar although this was not in use. Good choice of ciders with four from Thatcher�s � Gold, Heritage, Traditional and Cheddar Valley as well as Happy Daze from Gwynt y Ddraig and a pump for Black Rat which was apparently �coming soon�. All in all a great little pub and well worth a visit.

Three real Thatchers ciders plus the gold and a couple of ales, I had the Otter and it was in good condition. Also tucked into a Herberts bakery roll with my pint, Nice! Hopefully it might extend its opening hours.

deja vu pub has reopened again , although closes at 7.30 at night . not going to do reveiw yet as there is still work going on inside , will wait till it has bedded in .

Pretty much agree with the previous review. This is a proper, honest working man's boozer. It's the kind of place you meet your mates for a couple of swift lagers and at a reasonable price too. Drinks are just the standard fare, a couple of lagers, cider and an ale but i've never had a bad pint here.

Very small pub but actually old and not made to look that way. Good beer and very friendly landlady and customers. even had a sing along towards the end of the evening ! Not a trendy pub just a "real " pub while not the type of pub I often frequent makes a nice change to find this type of pub still going and will be returning for a welcome change to town style pubs.

a very strange place full of even stranger people, absolutely stunk of stale carpets, a dog was tied up in the back barking, I didnt stay very long, awful place.

nice medium size sort of Bar , just far away enough from the centre . HAD a reasonable pint of Butcombe . lANDLORD a nice bloke.
