Another Kendal pub now closed and according to the planning application fixed outside to be converted into flats, the same fate which has befallen at least 4 other pubs in the town during the last few years.

Lovely little friendly pub. Unfortunately quiet on the Friday night we were there. Served a very fine pint of Marston's Smooth. They were doing a special cricket edition glass, which the Landlord very kindly gave us. Wish this pub was near here. Hope to be back one day.

Quite a nice pub with a friendly barmaid serving a very good pint of Ringwood Fortyniner (not normally one of my favourite ales). The clientele at around six on a Wednesday evening was reassuringly middle-aged and polite. It was a pity that the TV was blaring in the background - nobody was watching it - but no complaints, otherwise. Would cheerfully have stayed for another.

Was very quiet when we called in on a Tuesday evening, the two of us almost doubled the patronage! Beer okay.

Fine old pub that has recently added another cockatoo to its collection. I have been informed that the news presenter off Lookaround (Tim whats-his-face) as well as Jimmy Cricket are regular visitors to this fin Kendalian institution.
Friendly barmaid and characterful potholed bar seats abound in this wonderful pub, where Vera Lynn is yet to put in an appearance.
