Visited this pub for the first time, we were made welcome, only a few in but all were friendly and chatty.
The place was very clean and so were the toilets, my partener commented to to barman how good they were. It was midweek low season so it will get busier when the season starts I guess.
Two points, the prices are expensive, thats the breweries fault, and no real ales, but what we did drink was ok. Worth a visit. The smallest pub in Blackpool and very cosy.

Just been to Blackpool for the weekend and as i went in The mitre around 10 yrs ago i thought i'd try it again.
Went in on both Friday and Saturday night and it was great!!
Good beer and cheap prices.
My only man is that they have no Sailor Jerry or Havana Club rum but apart from that My girlfriend and i found it to be a cracking little pub and will go in next time we are up there

Hi, would like to introduce myself. I am Kerry and I am the new licensee of the Mitre. I am sorry to read that some people have not had a good experience in the Mitre. As a local girl, I have had the pleasure of drinking in the Mitre since I was 18 years old and always found it to be buzzing, and one of the safest pubs to drink in, In my late twenties, I had the pleasure of working in the Mitre for Phil. He was a fantastic landlord, and the customers loved him andBill the manager. I hope I can manage to do as good a job as them and hope anybody that has not had a good experience will give us another try. I am sure you will notice the difference.

I have been going to this pub for the last 18 years and never had a bad night. It has a great jukebox that caters for all ages. It has seen a few changes over the past recent years (for the good) i might add. When i am down i visit a few times a day, I always like going early in the week (mon, tue wed, at night it has the friendliest barman i know, who always makes me feel welcome and is quite funny. The girls that work thier arnt that bad either. It truly is a small pub with a big welcome. I recommend it to everybody who i know who visits blackpool. What a great place. Thanks Guys.

ive been to the mitre for the last seven years and i can assure u none of that happened while i was there. the staff have always been polite and welcoming and about choosing how much people have to pay ridicoulous never heard so much rubbish in my life. just goes to show how small minded people can be get a grip mate.

Freezing cold on my last vist, heating not on in the middle of december!!!
No real ales available, customers freely smoking at the bar and staff smoking behind it, the "door man" just swigged his pint of lager and looked on. A disgrace

it may be THE smallest pub in blackpool but it has THE biggest heart.
I am always made to feel welcome. even after 20 years!!! lol
lunch available aswell. when i get to blackpool THE Mitre is THE place to go

best little pub in Blackpool, always packed at weekends, staff friendly and atmosphere is great, beer good too compared to some other places , always make a point and a pint to call in here when in Blackpool
