A very dull, old, city centre pub serving no cask ales. John Smiths Extra Cold and John Smiths Smooth plus Guinness and various lagers give a clue to the clientele.

Terrible place. Went in here last weekend to see if it had improved. Well - the prices have definately gone up! I found a seat in the corner at the back and after 10 minutes was asked to move so they could set up the kareoke!
I then walked past this place on Monday night on my way to the train station and was accosted by 2 drunks who fell out of this dump and hurled abuse at me - waving their bottles of Bud at me!
Horrible little hole - AVOID!

Agree with the previous posters. This is a pretty average city centre boozer with no cask ales. Whilst there is plenty to look at on the walls, the interior is fairly dull. There's far better pubs around.

Oldish interior, style and customers. Lots of wainscotting and publike bench seats and tables. A mass of Beatles related photos cover the walls, although the Cavern Quarter is a fair way away; is that the sound of a band wagon creaking under the weight? Theres an interesting statue at one end of the single room plus a few photos of old Liverpool at the other. Usual boring range of kegs plus the more unusual Manns Chestnut but no cask ales. A few youngish scallies who had escaped from the nearby trashier places mingled with the oldies. Apart from the beer not much can be said for or against this place, just average.

A local pub in town, serves beer and some bitters. Nothing too exciting. Never really busy during the week but gets busy sometimes of a weekend. Tries to cash in on Liverpools Beatles connection by displaying tat on the walls.

Forgot to mention - drinks not cheap and no real ales. Strange collection of Beatles/Merseybeat memorobilia on the wall by the gents toilets!

Very small and full of locals who just sit there and stare into space. They normally show horse racing on the TV but last time I was there Gone With The Wind was on.

Old fashioned boozer in a street packed with trendy clubs and bars. A good place to temporarily escape the madness, but don't stay too long as too much Peggy Lee can have the same effect as too much techno.
