Havn't been for a while but on a recent visit was as good as ever. Cooking was if anything better than ever but the bar seemed very quiet. Really friendly girls behind the bar. all in all a great pub. Just needs a bit more bustle.

Had a great time here a couple of months ago. I went with some friends who are local to the area and recommended the Drum and Monkey. The beer was first class and the staff were really friendly. The whole place had a nice atmosphere. I will certainly be visiting again next time I am in the area.

A Cracking Country Pub. Best we have been in for ages. On our first visit found everyone very friendly and efficient with excellent Wye Valley beers and really good quality house wine. Lot of food being served early evening but later filled up with locals and the atmosphere was really good. Took some friends a couple of weeks ago and they loved it although initially they thought it was a bit up-market. Sat in front of the big log fire which great to start with but got a bit warm. Food was superb. Lots of Fish on the menu (it was a Friday) and really friendly attentive service without being pushy. Not cheap but we felt it was good value. On our top ten list of country pubs.

I could not recommend this pub highly enough. Having visited a number of times now, I cannot fault the service. The food is always fantastic and the beer is pretty damn fine too. The pub is an independent so no run of the mill chain food and beer here. I also have to mention the beauty of this pub and it's surrounding as this is what appealed to me in the first place. 10/10.

Visited on a Friday lunch time - pub cold, no atmosphere, service average, food alright - not one to revisit.
