So: a bar-restaurant-club-roof terrace at Leamington Spa, in the north-south-east-West Midlands. Figures, I suppose.

This is now called Altoria, and the kind of place that offers are given in the street for '4 for £10', in which bottles of Budweiser, Corona, Becks or Smirnoff Ice are offered. The place is open planned, and full of teenagers dressed in baseball caps. No real reason to visit here unless it is the only pub still open late at night, which is why we visited.

Closed. It's been completely refurbished and is now an upmarket (over 25s) bar/restaurant called Altoria. Much nicer than the old Kokos, though the beer is very expensive (£4.50!)

An absolute hole, this place makes me cringe!

Ah KoKo's - this is where Leamington's pretty people (and not so pretty, in my case!) come to get hammered and dance. It sure beats the hell out of going to Rio's. It's a pretty formulaic venue and most certainly a 'destination bar'. I've always had a good time there. Beer - well the lager was ok..........................not exactly for your CAMRA types!
