No real ale any more. Handpumps removed.

It may sound like a pub but, as pointed out, this is a Thai restaurant. Very pleasant inside and the food looks good. They did have some beer on and were quite happy for me to sit at a table and just drink

A Thai restaurant; calling it a pub is pushing it.

Working in local office we stop going in Warwick . Place just simply smell bad . Need urgent clean lacking fresh aproach ! Now instead going to Wetherspoon or Copa for lunch

Food really good, beer suffers from being Greene King but reasonable in spite of that.

Agree with the previous review - this is, IMO, the best Thai in Reading. The beer's really good too. They do mid-week specials that make it even more reasonable. Well worth a visit - though it's often a bit on the quiet side.

Great Thai food here - I reckon it's the best in Reading and I've had a green curry or two in my time. Had a lovely beef curry - slowcooked - the other day. I love it here, it's a secret discovery.

Very bizarre combo i reckon thai and real ale, but the interior is done up very nice, 6.5/10

Yes, it's re-opened as a Thai resteraunt/bar and is unrecognisable!
Three ales on, including at least one GK seasonal. Quality has been OK, if a tad cold.
Not eaten here yet, but might give it a try. Worth a stop for a quick beer if nearby.

Back in business and run by the same crew as at The Lyndhurst and The Moderation. Emphasis on Thai food yet serving good real ales. Decor is Thai and maybe exotic but gives it a cold atmosphere.
|
Currently shut and due to reopen as a Thai resteraunt/bar. Apparently will still be selling ale.
Is being run by the same guys who are in charge of the Lyndhurst and who have turned the Moderation around, so worth checking out again in a few weeks.

Seem to be permanently running low on the ale, quite often only one/none on and it isnt that hot when it is, either.
Bit of character inside, but not worthwhile outside the tick value really.

I tried to book an Xmas meal here - don't bother, they couldn't be bothered to fax/e-mail me over a menu and when I did ring up to chase, the chef was quite rude. It's a nice looking pub and the staff are usually okay but just one bad experience is enough to put me off going there again.

Nice interior and friendly staff. Not the place to go if you are an away football supporter, I got told to shut up before I got beaten up.
Couple of good quality real ales.
|
Not a bad pub at all, drinks were alright price, good place to watch the footie in :)
|
Average pub full of Reading fans on a Saturday. Couple of ales on (Rev James and another) that ran out by 7pm!
I thought the staff were OK, they kept my phone safe behind the bar for an hour or so after I'd lost it.
|
The landlord/staff from this pub are diabolical. On more than one occasion myself and some friends have been witness to people completely and unnecessarily being physically removed. We definetely wont be going back there! And if you had any sense - you wouldnt either - unless you want you drinks taken away!!

Just an ordinary pub. Too smoky and they don't seem to bother too hard with their limited range of real ales. There are better pubs nearby.

Used to be a good traditional pub for lunchtimes and after work (if you could ignore the Prudential automatons), but a disastrous bistro-style refit a while back has backfired badly and left the pub in no-mans land. Too "bistro/wine bar" for the traditional pub-goer bu still too much of a pub for the Ha-Ha/Zizzi/Casa gals.

This looks a very interesting pub with loads of nooks to hide away. It was lunch when I was there but the evenings should be good.
