Last week my husband and son talked me into going to a Harvester, The White Hart, Guestling, I had risotto and it was lovely and the boys were very happy with their steaks. Dead cheap too and the Guinness was excellent.
Tonight I went with colleagues to The Lamb Inn. It's also a 'chain' venue, geared towards the diner rather than the drinker.
It is an absolute gyp, rip off, swizz etc. I ordered a 'mediterranean risotto' for �7.95 and got a cereal bowl containing, in order, onion and rice. There was one cherry tomato and one slice of courgette, which is more than a companion got.
The Vintage Inns 'Satisfaction Survey' is a slap in the chops for the hardworking staff who are obliged to dish out this over priced rubbish.

Located just off the A259 on the edge of Pevensey Marsh, this historic inn has been substantially extended to provide a large dining area in what is very much a food-orientated pub. Limited seating space for those just looking for a drink in the old part of the building (if the waiting staff don't try to shoo you away when it gets busy), plus a few wooden tables out front. I also noticed when leaving that there is a beer garden out back but this is appears to be unsignposted, largely hidden from view and thus empty. Two of three handpumps available, offering Doom Bar and a reasonable pint of Harveys (�2.80).

Popped in with my wife for a quick lunch and ordered a Mezze Platter �9.95 and some Warm Mediterranean breads with oil �2.00. The service was friendly and the ale was good but our food took quite a while to arrive and was terrible. The Mezze platter was very uninspired - might have been acceptable at half the price. The accompanying pitta bread was not very fresh and far from being grilled was stone cold. The Mediterranean breads were the same cold pitta and a lump of very stale and cold French bread - I was expecting Focaccia, or olive or walnut bread, or at least something fresh! Very disappointing, possibly a good pub for a drink but I wouldn't try eating here.

Feels more of a restaurant than a pub with most areas set up for dining. However, staff are efficient and friendly, there are two ales on, and the building is atmospheric and historic, so it's not a bad place to have a drink.

Excellent, member of the very good Vintage Inn chain, I think owned by Mitchel and Butler.
Plenty of room, large car park and a pleasent garden too!
Can be a bit busy during peak times, particularly in the summer so best to go early or late however, friendly, efficient staff keep up with demand 90% of the time.
Cask conditioned ale (real ale) is Harvey's and usually a guest or 2 as well.
Caters for all ages, easy, flat access for disabled visitors.
I have been there many times in the last 3 years and food is always good with a large, varied menuand always several home made specials.
Try the fish and chips, �7.25 and it lives up to its name it is as billed "A Whale of a Fish"

Fantastic pub, well run, the staff are an asset and the Kitchen is run impeccably. Lots to offer anyone living in the Pevensy/Bexhill area
