Rather fine establishment about 5 mins walk from Spooner Row station, useful if any trains stopped there. A warm and friendly pub standing on a crossroads, with a large restaurant to the rear, a side room again set up for food and a locals bar to the right of the entrance. Warm and cosy, Adnams Bitter, Old and Tallyho were on handpump, meals looked very good, upmarket but popular. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic pub......not many like this around! Great food, good range of beers and wine,Friendly and helpful staff.
There snack board is different and the main courses are out of this world.
The portions are big........i couldn't eat three courses even though i wanted a pud!!!
10/10 highly recomended!

Irrational landlord, clique-y wine-bar type, food (and beer) is variable.

This place has been slipping over the years, in all aspects except the prices! Not recommended.

A popular village pub and restaurant with very good but expensive food, and portion sizes designed to take you through the whole menu, making it even more expensive! They know their wine (better than their beer) and service is reasonably good but lacks humour. If the restaurant is busy its acoustics can be annoying.

This is a traditional village pub with fantastic food in a lovely setting with gardens etc. The furnishing are simple country style, but clean & neat. The service is good, polite but not stuffy, and whilst they do lots of traditional fare they also offer some dishes you would not expect in a small rural pub, all beautifully cooked & presented. Good for just a casual vist, but the food justifies special events too. By far the best meal out for ages, now we have found it we will be making repeat visits. Just note that the pub opens restricted hours.

First class village pub/restaurant, which fully deserves its excellent local reputation. Acting on a glowing recommendation I took my mother-in-law there for her birthday, and she was bowled over by the choice of fine food and wine and the friendliness of the proprietors. This will definitely become one of our firm favourites for quality dining in comfortable surroundings.

A fabulous village pub, where they've managed the very difficult feat of doing it up without losing it's essential village inn character. The food is excellent and the only reason I have not awarded it 10 points is that it's a little on the pricey side. Still, if you're on the look-out out for a good meal, it's well-worth a visit. Friendly and helpful staff and an excellent and well-selected wine list.

A genuine Country Pub, with well-kept ales, and a splendid collection of wines. Run by Ruth and Tony Yeoman, this is a real family business, with Tony presiding over the bar, and delivering expert wine advice, while Ruth supervises the kitchen, preparing exquisite food made from local produce.

There's a huge garden, which is a great place to let the kids run around while you sit and relax. If you're going there to eat at weekends or busy times, you need to book (01953 605851). You'll enjoy it.

A most excellent pub serving the VERY BEST food for miles around. First class wine and the landlord will advise if you are not sure which one to have with your meal.
Very friendly and you will return again and again once you've tried it. Keep good real ale too, although not much choice. Book if you do not want to be disappointed.

A trditional village pub, that's a bit off the beaten track, but well worth the visit if you're in or around Norwich. Excellent food, fine wine, good beer and a huge garden. Good write-ups in the local guides, and well-deserved too.
