Locals' pub just outside the town centre, which is very dull (in lighting terms) inside. We sat in the small front bar. But most people seemed to be in the larger room at the rear. Batham's Best Bitter was supported by Wye Valley HPA & Salopian Hop Twister. There was no sign of a real cider.

Hugely disappointing visit encouraged in by a blackboard stating home brewed beers amongst others. We had the HPA which wasn't in good condition and as we finished the beer was taken off, great. No one came to check if the beer we had just been sold was alright. Shame as our visit a year or so ago had been memorable for all the right reasons.

Had a great night here this Sunday gone. Great beer, Hobsons Town Crier and Bathams Best Bitter very good.
Good singer guitarist on, accompanied on some songs by the landlord on bongos, which was excellent. Good eclectic election of covers, but the star of the show has to go to the in house sound system here which is excellent. Every note of the guitar and word of the singer could be heard but none of it too loud to muddy it.
A relaxed pub where you can enjoy the music, still chat and enjoy the beer.

popped in on a sunday night good atmosphere live singer on good intreasting decor, the realales were in good condition bathams was on to,but a shame no dark real ale on.

Great pub. Ceiling covered in old records and musical instruments, nicely lit and friendly atmosphere. Small room to the left and larger music room to the right L-shaped, going round the back of the central bar, with back courtyard / conservatory. Good choice of real ales.
Previous visits have been on Sundays as I thought that thats when they used to have music advertised it may now be more often as last Saturday was an excellent night not only for the beer (Hobson's Town Crier was excellent) but there was an excellent duo called "Oaken Lee" playing.
I'm not sure whether the sound system is the house sound system or the bands but I suspect it's the house one with it being such a music venue, either way it was crystal clear and not blasting.

The place was heaving because a fine local band was playing. We ended up sitting on a bench in a converted fire place. Efficient bar staff mean't that there was never a wait for one of their well kept ales.

As can be seen by the picture, a nice terrace brick Georgain style pub, with green trim. As Carlurmston says, there is a small room, larger back room and conservatory with beer patio/garden area. As ROB says, there are lots of albums, instruments and oth music memorabilia on the ceilings and walls. The gaffer was really friendly, chatting to us in between serving pints. Place seemed clean and with a good clientele.
Beerwise; after the usual tosh, there was Hobsons Town Crier and Bitter, Bathams (class), Kinver Light Railway (fine) and i think Batemans XXXB. Well kept stuff.
Another Bridgnorth delight that washed away the thoughts of having to get the bus back to Wolverhampton. Another must.

In a town of fine pubs, this is unmissable. 5 real ales on my visit, including Batham's, Hobson's Town Crier and Vortex. Every one I tried was great. Love the interior, low ceilings covered with instruments and a real fire. Small room to the left and larger back room are served from a central bar. It's a hub for live music and as such had a bouncing atmosphere on my visit, with 2 decent singers. Conservatory out the back still feels like a beer garden- the exterior brick wall and overhanging trees are still extant, but now have a glass roof to keep you warm. Lots of plants and plastic insects to stare at! This place has a late licence so you could finish a tour of Bridgnorth pubs here- I recommend you do.

Incredible pub. five or six real ales on including Kinver Copper and Six Nations Marathon. Tiny snug like bar to left of pub, larger cosmopolitan bar area with conservatory area and outside naughty corner for us evil smokers. A great pity more pubs like this dont exist in many places.

Smallish pub with several little rooms/areas. The whole ceiling is taken up with old vinyl LPs and assorted musical instruments. Very unusual. Had Bathams and Six Bells Golden BB on tap. Had a pint of the Six Bells, very nice it was too. For some reason the signs on the toilets are upside down. Had a real fire in the lounge as well. Pretty good this place.

A beautiful pint of bathams. Although this was all that was on offer the landlord said that he did try to source his guests from a 35 mile radius.
