Superb location on the Grand Union Canal and affable service aided by well kept beer from the now ubiquitous Young's range. The outdoor seating is idyllic although a Ploughman's was patchy - excellent ham but bread that was on the turn and no pickle (the latter probably an oversight and nothing more). One of 6 pubs in a small village.

I love the location of this pub. It is right on the canel tow path. The last 3 years at the Beer festival the game has really been improved with 2 differant food suppliers on offer (both local) also to bars both stocked well. I have eaten here a number of times over the years and have never been disappointed.

Was at the Long Itchington beer festival last weekend - poor bloke I knew ordered a cheese 'batch'. One lousy slice of the cheapest cheddar with the cheapest spread in a 'batch' about 3/4 inches thick - £2. People should be aware if they're on the make we shall name and shame.

Lovely place - huge portions of food, good ale, and live music the evening we stopped there. Way better than the Cuttle on the other side of the canal.

Popped in on Saturday after visiting it's neighbour, the Cuttle across the canal. Was gobsmacked to find that they had just put a barrel of my all-time favourite Ale, St.Austell's Proper Job on. Needless to say, the rest of the weekend was spent here...happy days!!

Visited this pub last weekend. My first visit for over 15 years. The place has hardly changed. Excellent canal side location, five real ales, including a mild, and food served all day. The Abbot and Adnams were in fine form. The snacks were well priced and were generous portions. Staff friendly and helpful.

Had a very nice pint sitting in the sun overlooking the canal. Will visit again and add more comments. Food looked good but I did not try any or look at the menu
