A pub seemingly in the middle of nowhere with a very large garden but small inside The owners were very friendly as were the locals I only had a coke and forgot to check the real ale selection and what else they had on tap but I’m sure the selection is plentiful Another winner in my book

Visited this pub a few time recently and it has vastly improved under the new ownership. Excellent Palmers beers, I had a pint of Summer which was delightful (and 15p cheaper than the pub in the next village!!). Food very good too.

We visited for lunch the other Sunday but unfortunately it was not up to standard. We later learned that the landlady is leaving in September so maybe that is the reason.

Visited this pub last week and had some excellent Palmers beer but at 6.70 for two pints it was the most expensive beer I've bought to date at a country pub anywhere. The food may seem a bit pricey but is on a par with top restaurant quality, however the pub interior is rather basic and couldn't be described as olde worlde.

Don't be put off by the drab exterior. The staff and the locals are always friendly. The food is good value, creative and always very tasty. The beer is superbly kept. We will visit again and again. Thank you

Visited during August whilst staying at the excellent youth hostel next door - Palmers 200 very drinkable as was the Copper - the Wednesday steak night meant that the all reservations were taken by about 8.00 the night before but the takeaway option saved the day, good portions and very tasty. Will be back.

What a wonderful time we had at the White Horse (again). The food is as always superb, we walked from Home Farm in Puncknowle and decided to have a light lunch option - ha ha what a joke, I can't imagine what a normal sized meal is. I am not complaining and ate all of the delicious camembert (whole camembert) salad and new potatoes. Presentation - perfect, taste - perfect, service - perfect. We will be back. Keep up the good work, what a charming, friendly pub.

Have visited this pub a few times now whilst visiting the area. The beer is always good and the food is OK. Popular with locals and right next door to a Youth Hostel. It seems like they have music nights as well.

Went for a drink whilst visiting the area. Its got a nice vibe to it. Theres a big beer garden with views to the hills. the insides cosy on a chilly eve and the beers all good.

Very nice sitting out in the beer garden next to the stream. Not much atmosphere inside though, one half of the pub set aside for food and the other side resembles a second hand chair shop.
