Yes this is a decent place to have an ale. Quite a cosy sort of place and my pint of teignworthy 'reel ale' was of a very good quality.
I would go back 9/10

Single room L shaped pub with the bar to the left as you enter. Low-ceilinged and mostly wooden-floored with a nice, basic feel to it. Three pumps serving Otter Ale, Teignworthy Reel Ale and Dartmoor Jail Ale. My pint of Jail Ale was okay. There was only one other customer on my visit but I would imagine it gets a good crowd. I will come back again.

Well worth the walk. Good beer well kept.

Called in after visiting the festival and enjoyed Teignworthy Gun Dog. Seemed to be a popular locals pub and had a welcoming buzz.

The best pub for real ale selection we saw in Newton Abbot. They had 3 casks behind the bar - Hunters Pheasant Plucker, Teignworthy Reel Ale and Sharp's Eden Pure Ale. They also had Aspall's cider. The landlady was extremely pleasant and offered us some books from the collection in the corner. The gents was outside and I struggled to work out how you could fit more than one person in at any one time!

Pleasant pub selling good local ale. Run by vibrant young uns who want to run a pub properly. Worth the walk right down East Street to get here.
