Cosy little pub down on the quayside. Very little outside space so if you do manage to get a seat outside be prepared for others smoking near you. Pint of lager was very good too.

My definition of a great pub. Admitedley it was pirate day....but the atmosphere for a sunday afternoon was great...... Packed with pirates watching arsenal beat man u, then that finished and a live band struck up.... Absolutely heaving and loads of friendly banter.

Nice pub with some good ales. Bit of a tourist trap if the sun is out as you end up with lots of elderly people sitting in the few chairs outside drinking coffee. Pubs are for beer if you want coffee go to a cafe.

heard there is a newbee frequenting this pub "STEVE or STEVIE B"(as he calls himself) be very cautious with him as he targets women with teenage daughters to get his hands on them, late 40s and thinks he is hillarious, sings on karaoke !! you dont want your pub going downhill for someone like him.

The ale were good on my last visit, clear and tasting really god. Karaoke on Saturday nights, Hosted by Fliss who is really friendly & welcoming. Worth a look if you are on the harbourside!

Was my first choice pub on visiting Brixham, having read the various comments. However the Tribute was poorly kept. Location and ambience is great. I had a much better pint at the Blue Anchor (not listed on BITE, but other side of the quay).

This pub was very friendly to outsiders unlike a lot of the local pubs here, thanks to the staff and lovely landlady. The beer was good and reasonably priced. It was nice that they put bowls of water out front for dogs. Loads of character.
Drawbacks: lack of outside space, as very hot inside and really needed some form of aircon as it wasn't even that hot outside. Some nights was full and it is small and we had to go elsehwere as no seats. Loo was pokey and awkward to access.

What more could you ask??????

This is the best pub in Brixham. 3 guest ales were served over the week I was in Brixham and they were all excellent. The staff are very welcoming and will even recommend the best local restaurants to eat in. They don't serve food of their own but let you take your own food in- a great idea. The walls are adorned with photos of Brixham's famous trawler fleet. Great staff, friendly locals and fine beer. What else would you want?

Really nice free house on the quaside in Brixham.
Visited a number of pubs while on holiday at Easter 2008 and once we found this one, stoped going elsewhere.
Friendly staff and friendly locals - all very welcoming.
A pub that is there (and has been for hundreds of years) to server the local fishing community.
They do not serve food (other than excellent crab sandwiches) but are more than happy for you to take you own food in (or use their tables outside) and eat it.
