Pedigree was dreadful ended up leaving it. Kind of got the feeling the landlord knew it as well.

Stayed at the nearby Travelodge (A38 Northbound) and after a 5-10 minute walk along the canal arrived at the Barton Turns Inn. Good basic pub food. Marston's Pedigree and SMASH very good. Very quiet when I visited with my daughters.

Canalside traditional pub. Friendly, attentive staff and they have an all day menu. Menu is basic and good value, excellent for a quick bite to eat. Good beers.
