Nice old building, plenty of room and a real fire inside. Very friendly staff. Green king house so IPA & Speckled hen on, I stuck to the hen which was excellent. A bit slow serving the 13 of us as there was just one guy in the kitchen but we didn't mind as the food was cheap and very good with huge portions.

Great little local pub serving nice cask ales and very good quality pub food. Friendly atmosphere and service make it good place to visit.

Pub was FILLED with smoke due to the over the top fire. No cider on tap however apparently they DO have cider on tap... just not Strongbow. Poor exterior but this must not put you off, however the garden needs some attention it was disgusting and put me off the entire place. Interior is very dated, the beers were good but who cares.

Paid another visit recently on one of our cycle trips. Was able to really appreciate the beautiful building in the daylight. Two real ales on tap but no cider. I went for the Grand Slam which did taste like it was towards then end of its cask life but was tolerable. Freindly bar staff and a generally nice visit, even if the fire did fill the pub with smoke!

This is a lovely little pub, I had a really nice guest ale called bonkers conkers and the missus was able to enjoy a decent cider on tap (not Strongbow!) Really freindly staff and although I was rather drunk by this stage (I fell off my bike shortly after) it certainly sticks in the memory

Don't let the shabby exterior and interior put you off - this is a friendly pub with excellent food. Everything I've eaten in the last few months has been great. Its a shame they don't smarten up the interior though - those old fashioned dark wood chairs are not very comfortable and the yard out the back could do with some landscaping. Still, if you want a good meal at a reasonable price its a good location.
There are hand drawn ales and a guest beer of the month - haven't had a bad pint yet.
I'd give the food an 8 and the general ambience/interior a 5.

We were back staying near Leigh so went for Sunday Lunch at the Fleur de Lis, they have a new chef and the food was absolutely gorgeous. There was attention to detail on everything from cracked pepper in the swede to a hint of garlic in the roasties ! Plenty on your plate too. Deffinately top food at very reasonable prices. If I didnt live in Yorkshire I would go every Sunday for my dinner !!!

Well kept and good range of guest real ales. Great menu and new chief produces fantastic food at reasonable prices. Would go back again

Dropped in for a quick pint and a bite to eat, the beer was poor and the food was shabby, however I believe a new chef is due to start in a few days so perhaps all will become good. No excuses for the beer....

I'd driven past this place many times after fishing on the Medway, but never stopped before. This time I did and me and my brother in law enjoyed well kept beers and cider from a friendly barmaid. I definitely would stop here again on a warm summers day as it's a nice place to sit outside and watch the world go by.

we went to the fleur de lys in the summer holidays whilst staying near Leigh, we had Sunday dinner which was beautiful, and the large plates were full, the Landlord and waitresses were very friendly, we enjoyed it so much we went back a couple of nights later for a bar meal, again a very tasty meal and well presented. Definately recommend !

VERY busy on weekends and we got the last table luckily, the atmosphere is okay, somewhat cramped, friendly staffed, reasonably priced (not the cheapest of course) and serves some Ales. Would probably go back if passing.

Large Greene King pub which manages to be a local community centre as well as a good restaurant. We had some excellent, quality food here, beautifully presented and good value, though portions a little small. (There is more basic bar food too).
I tried 2 ales, both GK, one was excellent and one acceptable (can't remember which was which exactly). The landlord was very welcoming and staff attentive despite the place being busy. On the basis of one visit I would recommend this place and will go back.

Not an especially welcoming atmosphere, and the promise of Greene King beer is arely a great attraction. Fortunately, however, they also had Bath Ales 'Gem' on, which went down very well.
