Going there right now. Hopefully it's improved since last review.
Now called "Hopsmiths"

Ignore all previous reviews, this pub has now been 'revamped'. It is now a soulless bar. As you walk through the newly installed glass door youre met with a miss mash of awkward furniture. Once you traverse this and get to the bar thinks don't improve; one ale and an odd food menu, both unapealling and oddly pricey.
When at the bar I remark to my companion "they've taken an alright pub and made it..." The bar man finished my sentence with a helpful "shit?".
I think that sums it up

Just missed a train and with a 15 minute wait this is about your only option given that timespan. Pretty much as before... kind of wine bar only Pride and Deuchars IPA on... only the Pride went off as I was ordering it so switched to the Deuchars which was drinkable. Would look at this place as a waiting room where I canget a pint rather than somewhere I'd go out for a drink.

Went to a birthday do here recently, and I liked the place. Service was good enough and 3.30 for a pint of well-kept Deuchars isn't too bad.
Bit odd rubbing shoulders alongside couples out for lobster linguine and wine, but the Noble just about manages to pull it off.

Not quite sure what this place is trying to be... not really a pub, nor a winebar. They only had Pride on and it wasn't up to much. Okay if you're stuck waiting on a train.

good in theory, no tv screens, no gaming machines, range of beers and food - but a couple of bad experiences and I agree with the grumpy staff, or rather manager/landlord review. probably the other staff are nice the main man is just surly to the point of rudeness once too often for it to have been just a bad day... still, give it a go, it might work out differently for you - good luck!

It's true the food is on the pricey side, more upper end gastro-pub than a local. But it tends to be tasty enough, so you pay your money, take your choice... The beer is well kept although it's often served a bit too cold, but there's a reasonable, if unchanging, choice. I prefer the Deuchars of the two real ales available. As for the staff mentioned in the previous comment, they've always seemed more than friendly and cheerful. In fact, that's what characterises this pub: the quiet, informal friendliness of it as opposed to the Dairy down the road which is busy and large (or fancies itself as a bit posh if you eat there).

Expensive. Some of the staff need to cheer up.

what a fantastic small pub very cosy i love this place and it has outside seating as well great for all us smokers

A small gastropub serving two real ales and Addlestones Cider.

A decent local option with comfortable seating and a good range of drinks. The food is reasonable, if a little on the expensive side.
