decent pub fayre & always one good different ale on draught. Large pub, good to see a proper games room, reminds me a bit like what it used to be in the early 80s. Will always be the Stoneleigh to me.

Good barras pub, with excellent beer and food.

Turned round again - for the worse I'm afraid. Hope they get a permanent manager soon. Most of the bar staff are totally disinterested so you have to stand and wait while they finish chatting, cleaning tables, polishing cutlery etc before you get served. They've dropped one of the ale pumps and when I went in only had one on, so no choice. Didn't bother with food.

At last, I've found him, Young Billy the dribbler from the Avenue. All I can say is what a difference having a upstanding young fellow like him drinking here has made to the whole pub.

This pub has been turned around and is now managed properly. Choice of well kept ales and the standard Spirit Group menu.

This pub has, since Barras took over, descended back to the scumhole days of the early 90s. There was a riot outside involving 50-100 people last week, who attacked the police with bottles etc following an England world cup match.
Tear it down.

Although no longer a regular (I've moved away) I went there last night, internally it's the best it's been since the Gardiner days of the early 80s. Beer (bitter) was OK - IPA & Speckled Hen, not a great choice I know, but better than none. Plenty of separate areas & child friendly for the first time in a generation. If you live in the Stoneleigh area, I would be more than happy to now have this as my local.

Dire pub. went in for the england v paraguay match.no bitters from the START! xenophobic kids chanting their vile bile throughout, ended up police being called with the thugs damaging a bus outside and smashing glasses!AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Not a bad pub for a local, they recently had a refurb which took 6 weeks, when I went inside I couldnt see what had changed, needs doing up.

standard large railway pub, food good for the price, bar staff ok, decor needs a bit of refreshing
|
Acceptable chain pub - not one of the finest establishments in the world, but the staff were friendly and the food was fine. Like all Barras pubs the food is exceptionally cheap and the beer is reasonable priced.

Peach are playing from 9pm on Saturday 26 June!
Don't miss it!

Do a very nice drop of Carlsberg top. Very refreshing in the summer. Could eat the food in here all day, although after the all day breakfast followed by the monster cheeseburger there isn't much room for my kebab on the way home !

Nice to see the ripped seats and brick dust has nearly disappeared. Reasonably pleasant place to drink these days.
