Lovely friendly village pub. Great food and beer and nothing's too much trouble. It's consistantly busy which says alot in our current times!

agree with previous comments, was lovely food, served quickly BUT why oh why the greed of destroying the lovely beer garden??? sad times in this & other villages with ill fitting new "developments" UGH !!!

having just left the dreary and unwelcoming pub in nearby Holywell Lake this place was a true sanctuary. My son and I enjoyed fabulous food and an excellent pint of Bays beer from Torquay. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definately go again.

No comment about the pub, but the previous landlord who built a house in the pub garden did exactly the same in Halse when his mum owned the New Inn. Spooky!!!

Great Sunday lunch. Excellent quality food - pink roast beef, homemade Yorkshire Pudding and crunchy vegetables - perfect! Friendly service. Pleasant and clean surroundings.

I hear that the landlord has built his new house on what used to be the lovely garden. If this is true its a shame as it was a great place to take the family. There was a big emphasis on food but its also a good locals pub with generous choice of beer.
9/10 with the garden, 7/10 without.............
............Make that the EX-landlord
