Popped in for a quicky to try the Sam Adams Boston Lager brewed under license by Shepherd Neame. Rather good, I thought, but over 4 a pint????

Sheps MasterBrew at 3.80pounds? Really? Good grief!

Called in this afternoon after the Farmers Market and during the Christmas Fair. Busy but a superb atmosphere. The last time I came into this pub some years ago, it was grubby, dark and dingey. It's recently been re-decorated inside and out and looks really good now. Spitfire was fine and there was a lovely feeling about the place.

Nice little town pub, but one of the most expensive in Kent. The seasonal Late Red was 3.30 per pint which is rather extraordinary when other, more upmarket places in West Malling (and surrounding area) charge considerably less. Also had Master Brew and Spitfire on. Some interesting tools of the joiners trade on the walls, but rather cold (in both senses of the word) inside.

Too expensive for relatively bland beer

Tried again - Master Brew handclip not turned around but barmaid informs me they have none. Too lazy to change a barrel or genuinely ran out, not sure. Second choice was Spitfire, oh dear...not so good. Methinks Shepherd Neame might have taken their eye off the ball a bit (remember Gales) which is disappointing but they are still better than a Greene King at the moment. Come on Shepherd Neame - where is that British Bulldog fighting spirit?

Shouldn't knock it too much as it is a real ale pub with Sky TV - a rare combo these days. Clean, well kept pub with a quieter back bar if sport on TV is not your bag. Tried the Shepherd Neame Stout which was OK although not a real Stoutie myself. Some pump clips turned round on my visit so will return to see what I missed next time.

Went in last night and it was packed (there was a soccer match on). 3.05 for a pint of Spitfire is a disgrace but sadly it is becoming standard for Shepherd Neame to rip off their customers. This used to be a favourite haunt of mine but not any more.

Welcoming and friendly little town pub, with good food, live entertainment, and the usual range of Shepherd Neame beers and ales. The open doors at the front is a nice touch in warm weather. The only downside is this is the first time I have ever paid over 3 for a pint.
