Eel's post suggests mental issues. Totally bizarre.

have literally just got back from having dinner there this evening and pretty confident i won't be returning. the table was sticky and gross, the pepper shaker had some sort of gross shit on it from where it had been dropped in someones meal but by the look of it, a good few days ago, the service was HORRENDOUS. The girl who served us first immediatley stated she was new and seemed to think this was an excuse to cock everything up and forget we were there. after having ordered drinks, she returned a good 10 minutes (may have been more-i didnt check my watch!) without the drinks to take our food orders. had to remind her twice to get the drinks, then when the drinks finally arrived (hurrah!!) i had a small glass of wine in a large wine glass which looked crap. the salad bar was gross and dried out and the food wasn't great. the only time the waitress cheered up and showed any sign of being human was when we asked for the bill when she started cracking jokes and adopting a wierd accent (some sort of desperate attempt to prompt us to leave a tip-we didn't). bad atmosphere and all the staff were dressed like student bums. like they had fallen out of bed around 2pm and scrambled to get dressed. was not impressed.

Went out for lunch with some friends. First of all the decor is terrible, has a dirty feel. The tables and chairs were sticky. I think that they don't wipe the tables with a clean cloth. The knives and forks were dirty and the salad bar lettuce was limp. Chicken was ok, pudding looked old. General smell of dirty dishcloths. Won't eat there again.

Nothing exactly wrong with the Granville as such but it has no soul. Just a tag on to the Harvester really. Go to Jono's across the road if you want more than that.

I think this pub is really ufnfriendly. The manager is one of the worst lanlords to get on with,Not friendly at all.Much Like most of the staff.Lager and beer is not very nice at all, especially compared to the two nearest pub's The common Room and Jono's.I wouldnt recommend this and i dont think alot of other people would either.

New landlord called Neil, thinks he's amusing but is insulting. Lovely girl called Alice behind the bar, chatty and welcoming, food is just Harvester, and usually only warm. 10 out of 10 for Alice!
