Pub closed sometime in the last year and is now a post office and general store.

Recently been taken over by a young man and it's all the better for it. The food is much better of late. Pleasant, fine dining in the dining room. Nice, cheerful staff who look like they enjoy working there. Fabulous beer garden. In the summer months, my six year old always wants to go there. Well done and great little pub.

Nice enough but only Shepherd Neame beers, which were fine (if you like them). Food was great, and reasonably priced, staff fine. Dont be put off by the outside it needs sprucing up but the insides fine, especially the room to the left. The Bull up the road is a slightly better pub.

After reading the pub had been taken over recently, i decided to give it another try, i must say very much improved. Food is of a very high standard, with a good selection of wines. I will be back with the guys soon to try some of the local ales.

Great new landlord, recently taken over getting back to its best again. Very varied menu all homemade and of good quality. Sheps beer all in good shape and nice wines.

Good pub, friendly landlord (used to be at the Bull, Sissinghurst), well kept Master Brew.

Sad to hear that the landlords are leaving, and going to the White Dog at Ewehurst Green. Apparently a local family are taking the pub, and aiming to keep things as they are. I await developments with interest. Interesting to see that a non reviewing rater has awarded this pub a mere 4 points. Looks like the knockers are about!See also the Bull.

This si a destination/special occasion pub, specialising in high quality locally sourced food. It isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. The Sheps is always good, and the landlord won a brewery wine competition recently.Pleasant old building in an attractive village-I know I'm showing my age, but it was the in pub in the 1970s-mercifully much improved.
