I was in the day after Supreme_being, my Dark Hatters was fantastic but the Old Stockport was a little sour. If the landlord had've been in I may have taken it back but decided it wasn't worth the hassle. I wonder if they are trying to keep too many beers on for the turnover? 2.10 a pint is easily the cheapest Robbie's pub worth going in, though, and on previous visits it has been on top form. The food was good, too, despite it being the new chef's first day.

went in there regulally for food when first opened and was suprised at how nice a pint of robbinsons can actully be. Sadly this was obviously short lived as upon buying a pint in there the other day i struggled to drink it. Shame as if it is obviously nice if kept well as proven when first opened. food still alright though

This pub now has had a a new tenant since the 1st April and it re-opened on the 7th May,and the drive is towards real ale,and good food. The only handpump which was installed has now been increased to 7, and most of the keg fonts removed,or re-sited.The pub was refurbished in Oct 2008. there will be live music starting on the 21st August 09,in the newly decorated Function Room. This pub will have the widest selevtion of Robinsons in Stockport and is run by a Licensee who has a passion for real ale and good quality beers. The pub does not smell anymore, as stated in the message posted here, so there has been BIG changes so VISIT ASAP

Almost empty on a Saturday afternoon. Very smelly. Only one handpump real ale - Robinsons Unicorn, which was off when I visited. Didn't stay for long!
