My partner and I love this little pub. It's our favourite in Romsey. When I've been there I'd say your typical audience is a 25-40ish age group. Friendly, and never too crowded apart from maybe Saturday night.
Only minus is that they don't let people in after 10:30pm on a Saturday.

I rather liked this place during my swift visit. Bateman's XB and Thwaites Lancaster Bomber, two beers you don't usually come across in this part of the world, were on and my pint of XB was in reasonable nick. Clearly this is a place that depends on the food and although the ale was nearly 3 I think I would return. Its a nice building inside and they had a decent range of lagers available.

Not sure if this is meant to be a pub or a restaurant because they do both very well. Suprised to see the comment below because I've never had a problem with the food in here.

recent visit by my daughter and fiancee did not go well 2 meals were order both arrived cold in fact steak was still frozen in the middle landlady was asked to deal with the problem to which her reply was that there was nothing wrong! and steak was meant to be rare - well frozen is rare i suppose! not a venue i would bother to go to again!
Abbey Hotel, William IV & Tavern do better food.

Always seems to be sopmething going on here which isd unusual for slleply old Romsey. Great atmosphere and very pleasant landlord. Must agree with JustinNewman - the best in Romsey!

By far the best watering hole in Romsey. Not over-priced, nice surroundings and a great place to unwind. We've been watching the 6 nations here mainly because of the good food.

Nicely done out pub aimed at the top end of the market in Romsey. Chavs, hoodies etc might find The Tavern nearby more to their taste.
