Kings Head, Bexleyback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
The Kings Head was the best of 4 pubs we visited in Bexley yesterday lunchtime. It's a Greene King pub that is clearly very old, with low beamed ceilings. It was telling that it was the busiest of pubs in the area, with around a dozen in yesterday morning. Greene King IPA & Abbot & Morland Old Golden Hen are the 3 real ales. The Old Golden Hen was in a good condition.

The Kings Head deserves a much higher rating than it currently has. We popped in here on a recent Thursday evening to have a quick pint before going for a meal in a local restaurant. The interior is very pleasant as was the atmosphere. The landlord could not have been more welcoming or generous even knowing that we were only staying for the one. I had the Golden Hen which was delicious. Highly recommended!

Great old fashioned pub in listed building. Abbot, IPA and one guest. Good value food. Great pub.

Been here a few times, and I like it. It can get very busy at weekends, and it seems as if a function of some kind is always going on on a Sunday with people milling around everywhere, but it's friendly enough and has plenty of outdoor seating if you can grab a table.
Speaking of functions, we hired the back room for my dad's 60th last year, and everyone had a fantastic time, recommended if your numbers aren't too silly. There was a nifty guest on that day too in the form of Greene King's Bonkers Conkers which went down a treat. Bar prices a bit on the steep side though which is my only real gripe here. Despite this, I'm considering hiring it for my 30th next year so it can't be that bad!

This pub is alright. Usually quite busy. It's nice that you can sit out the front and watch the world go by. Decent selection of beers. Can become very crowded at the weekends. It would be nice if they offered food during the week.

This pub features in the GBG, yet the selection is a rather uninspiring GK IPA, Abbott and Morland Original Bitter. The place is clearly popular and was busy and lively at 6pm, warm and comfortable too. A nice old building in a pleasant street, but a decent guest beer wouldn't go amiss.
