Ship Inn, Winchesterback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
The Ship Inn is great, it has really changed. I rememeber going there while I was at college, but it went down hill for a while. I have returned to the city and had a wicked day in garden with pals. The staff were friendly and there was a great atmosphere and the Thai food was fab. WIll be back next time im in town...

Dont knock it !!! - It has a been long time since anyone posted a reveiw.. (years!) The old landlady was chucked out, the pub has been closed recently for a massive new (very expensive) refurb. Is going to be relaunched with a new owner, and is promising to bring back the Sports, the LIVE music and entertainment, and also too refurb the much neglected garden which backs onto the river that we all used to love so much. Food too !! -sounds like a good invester that loves his customers is back in The Ship Inn again!! Will post more afetr the refurb- but lets hope it regains all (and more) of its famous past as a great LIVE pub venue...

BIGGEST dump in town. Sexy landlady???? you need help. Wouldn't eat there, barely want to drink out the glasses and the clientelle!!!! Not hard, so not a thrill to be in, just incredibly thick. Avoid this place at all costs.

Good pub which caters for locals and students alike. Friendly staff, there is one grumpy barman but that is all part of his Meldew type image. If you are a sporty person or not you can enjoy a quiet drink in the music free lounge area. A brilliant all ages cash quiz can be enjoyed every Thursday night, 8.30pm start.
