Unassuming exterior. Delightful beer garden. Drinkers room and two dining areas. Five real ales on and a very decent Wye Valley HPA was consumed.

Gets the balance right as to what a Gastropub should be.

I was initially worried to learn that it had been refurbished in case it had lost its bohemian charm but upon revisiting am happy to report that it has retained its soul providing the same good food, good ales and warm welcome. The hostess welcomed me with a lovely smile and directed me to the excellent Wye HPA.

Sadly I will be going home soon to Bedfordshire but I would definitely return again.

Just re-opened after refurb and managed by the excellent Giles Evans, (small but perfectly formed!), outstanding views and good service.

Excellent pub. Good selection of well kept ales, great views, very friendly and welcoming owner and staff. Food is reasonably priced, good portions and well prepared.

Open mic night was a bit cliquey, but I guess they're not used to newbies.

Brilliant pub - ales included Stanway, Goffs Jouster and Ringwood Fortyniner when I visited yesterday. Has a very relaxed feel to it and both staff and locals are friendly. Beer was in good order and the food was good and reasonably priced for the area. Watch out for the hyperactive dog - Cassie, who patrols the pub indoors and outdoors. She is no trouble at all and fun to watch doing her rounds.

Cavernous old place with worn stone floors and old panelling. The main part of the pub would count as unspoilt, though even with the log fires its not the cosiest of places. Geared for dining, there is a large conservatory at the back with nice views, plus a garden, where you can watch steam trains go by. Didnt try the food, menu look good enough though not a lot of veggie choice. The beers are the local Goffs Jouster and Stanway Bitter, plus three guests, well kept when we visited, with an enthusiastic landlord. The pub has an unusual feature - a tennis court which you can book, preferably before drinking.

A lovely place. I only found by chance but had a lovely meal wash down with a couple of pints of Goffs Jester. 9/10

Good selection of micro brewery real ales and an excellent menu of locally sourced and prepared food. Very busy; bohemian in atmosphere. Loud live music but it can be avoided. Great place. Worth a visit.

I love this pub. Being able to set my camera up at the bottom of the garden to photograph the trains. The staff bought me lunch to where I was, Even delivered me beer. This is service that is above and behond the call of duty.

Excellant Pub. Food and Drink excellant. Made to feel so welcome. Had what felt like person service. Lovely way to end a day in the cotswolds. Well worth its entry in the Good Beer Guide. The Goffs gester is worth special mention. Had a pint from all four pumps and all were to notch.
