Pretentious wine bar for pretentious people. Bar staff seemed more interested in chatting up anything in a skirt than doing their job.

Came here on Saturday. It had a very good atmosphere. Good mix of 30 somethings. Friendly bar staff. Cocktails were �6.50 to �7.00. Shooters �3.00. Very good dj playing 70's, 80's funk. Open until 4am on a Friday and Saturday so will definately be back.

I like this bar. As a previous poster said "does exactly what it says on the Tin".
I understand it was a pioneering clerkenwell bar. Late licence, good crowd (no chavs), nice girls, expensive beer but it's cold and it gets you pissed. Had a lot of fun on my visits here.
Worth a visit, if only to have your own opinion.

i've ended many a night here and always wondered why the fwuck I bothered. expensive, unpleasant and uninspired. pay the taxi fare and end up somewhere worth being!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Stays open. Encourages drunkeness. And dare I say, you may be in the company of some fit young ladies.
Stonch- please ignore Jame Nakin. He once stated that pub which had introduced a smoking ban would keep 'the wrong type' out. Ironically, the bar was in Hackney.

JAMIE - this isn't a pub. Of course it doesn't serve real ale. Its a fairly decent late bar/club hybrid for getting hammered and staying up late. Unsurprising you didn't fin hand pulls, guest ales etc!!!
This place is ok for a night out. Worth a bash. Beer wise - ok lagers in bottles, and draught Kronenbourg blanc.

Loud and clubby. No real beer. Popped my head in thru the door see if any hand pulls, didn't see any. Not a conversational place. Everyone under 25 by the look of it.

We rented a room upstairs out here for a party and had a fantastic night!
The mohito cocktails were some of the best i have tasted!

More of a club than a pub, only lager available here, this is a place for people to dance (in quite crampt conditions) and on Friday nights (I visited on one) the place is packed so if its a quiet pint and a chat with your mates you are lookin for then go somewhere else, If you don't mind havin to scream above the noise and have 2'-0" square to stand in then go to this pub.

It's great don't know why the other person didn't like it! Friday nights it really gets going and everyone's dancing like nutters!
