Westport Inn, Kentish Townback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Returned to its original name of The Gipsy Queen (after about 25 years) in June 2015 following a serious makeover. This is no longer the scary grotty estate pub of before, now rather upmarket with designer beer garden, homemade pasta and craft beer. The trendy crowd here now looks more like the type you'd get in The Stag up the road.
Overall image and ambience spoilt by a hideous IMAX TV screen.

A proper traditional pub with friendly staff good beer and great sandwiches in the backing onto the Lismore Circus estate. Gets busy in summer; perfect on a weekday afternoon in the winter when its raining. Great drinks, comfortable and safe surroundings, a welcoming atmosphere and fantastic entertainment. 60 P/N Double or Twin 85 Triple.

This is a nice pub thats recently been done up. The foto shown is an old one and the outside looks much nicer now. I drink here quite often with a few of my mates after work and we really like it especially since it's refurb. The drinks are cheap, and the people are friendly. Its a good place to go for a few drinks and a good natter!

Almost twenty years ago, when I lived in this area, this pub changed its name. It was previously known as The Gypsy Queen, but changed to The Westport after complaints that the travelling community were, somewhat ironically, barred.

Local's pub opposite a small parade of shops, and backing onto the Lismore Circus estate from which much of its clientele is drawn.
An Irish theme is the order of the day here, and Guinness is popular. The pub has a pleasant traditional tiled exterior and a low ceiling within.
Note that real ale is not available at the Westport Inn, and that children are not admitted at any time.
