BITE need to update this to 'The Gaff'. It's a great goth/rock pub,. but I came here after an Arsenal game the other day and didn't feel out of place. The decor and music are great, the beer (Well's Eagle IPA) is more drinkable than many other non-ale pubs, though I tend to stick to Guinness when I am here. Probably the best pub on the Hollaway Road, and the decor keeps away the less desirable Gooners!

Music is good, but the quality of the beer and the state of the pub is a shambles-rating 3
|
Music pub with a couple of ales on and lots of adverts for Jagermeister, music good, place serves for what it is.
|
It has now been renamed the Gaff and is back as a music pub ,they have the legendary UK Subs playing this weekend , should liven up the area . Also have Wells Bombardier on pump and a strange contraption dispencing Jaggermeister.
|
Open now, bangin' music coming out.

As with what mr.toes.5_ said, went past last Saturday and the pub has been repainted on the outside like it used to be, though still not open. Also, the people standing outside were the people who used to run it, so it appears that a good pub is coming back!!! Weird that it changed so suddenly, anyone know why and why is it changing back?

This pub is closed for a refit, am told it will reopen as a goth/metal pub run by the same guy who had it a year or so ago, this is definetly good news .
|
I thought this was really pretty awful to be honest. A very spartan interior with the front half of the pub dominated by a stage not being used on my visit. No sign of any real ale, and the rather insolent and fed-up looking barmaid managed to make a total hash of pouring me a diet coke (!). The locals seemed like the usual bunch of heavy drinkers and oddballs all too common in pubs in this part of London.

Completley ruined this pub,not into the goth, metal scene but this pub was a welcome change to the usual Holloway dumps.Friendly and welcoming with good beer, now turned into another Arsenal Supporters pub. It's probably empty on non match days as most real match going supporters don't live anywhere close to the ground.Full of meatheaded benefit claiming types!
Job well done on ruining a decent boozer.

Hers an idea, take a pub thats a bit different and turn it into another moronic pub. Was great now not.Aviod unless your a brain dead gooner

Oh noooooo! What's happened here? It's gone from being a well-run, gothy pub with some personality and friendly staff to a hideous Arsenal-adoring hole. The G'n'R pinball machine is gone, the subdued lighting replaced by interrogation-strength bulbs. This is nothing short of criminal. Holloway already has enough dives. I'd love to know what's brought about this sad change. I award it 1 out of 10 because the quiz machine is still there.

Very goth but very friendly.Nice beer too.
