Perfect Blend, Streathamback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
I've lived in Streatham for the last 8 years, and Perfect Blend (which didn't even exist when we first moved to the area) is the place I've been to most. Easily the best value (in terms of the quality) evening meal in SW16, and the breakfast's pretty decent too!

Honestly, there's bad service and then there's Perfect Blend. A shame cos the food, especially the breakfasts, are lovely in here. But if a bar is meant to be doing table service, not even acknowledging a table for ten minutes when they're staring right at you is pretty bad. It wasn't even busy - hence getting a table in there in the first place. We got up and left as the waiting staff and barman chatted away.

I also use to go there, but the service was not to good, and the wait for food was pretty long.. Have not been recently, so millsie i will have to check it out again

A really nice bar with a good atmosphere and nice premium beers. The food is also generally very good but the service is absolutely atrocious.
We go there a fair bit cos we live locally & we like the food, but the service never fails to drive us mad--you can easily wait hald an hour before anyone asks you what you want, then up to an hour for your starter to arrive. The staff are friendly but there aren't enough of them and they make a lot of mistakes with orders etc. We keep coming back though...

Perfect Blend is exactly what Streatham Hill needs. It manages to be cosy enough for a coffee and chat, but also function perfectly as a bar. The food is good, with interesting twists and not too girly. But the best thing is that Perfect Blend just like continental cafe's and bistros manages to function as a fun laid back place destination but with a British flair. Love it - and it is perfect as a local.

I've had terrible service here - it is getting better, slowly. In a way I'm glad - I was seriously thinking that it was all in my head. But what is it with the heating?

i couldn't disagree more - Perfect Blend is the saving grace of Streatham, i absolutely love this bar! the food, drinks, atmosphere and vibe are perfect. I think the mix of it being a cafe/bar works really well meaning it's a great place to come for bruch or a night out.

The place was recently voted one of the best places to get a burger in London in the Guardian - never had it myself so cant comment but i was very surprised by that. can only echo comments below - this place cant make up its mind if its a cafe or bar, despite some nice beer selection, it does feel like gettin drunk in starbucks. oh yeah, service can be pretty rubbish as well, not waitresses fault, just woefully understaffed. food is nice tho & welcome addition to the high road

Agree - this place has serious identity issues. A definite jack of all trades, master of none. There's just something not quite right about having a slap-up meal and a bit too much to drink perched on a Cafe Nero-esque chair next to tomorrows sandwich-filler chiller. Although the burgers are very good.... What seriously lets this place down though (and why I won't be back) is the service. The waitress (note, singular) was very good don't get me wrong but even the best waitress in the world needs at least a little support. She was assisted (I use the term loosely) by a male colleague (who may actually be the manager or the owners son perhaps?) who seemed loathed to do anything constructive. In fact, when I finally managed to get his attention to enquire where the drinks wed ordered some 30 minutes prior were he basically dismissed me, walked away leaving me practically mid-sentence, located the aforementioned lone waitress (who was actually in the middle of taking someones order at the time) and indicated to her that we required attention before casually mincing away with seemingly very little if anything else to do. Thirsty, hungry, sorry for the waitress, angry with the waiter and 45 minutes later, we left, never to return.

It's like getting pissed in Starbucks.

Perfect Blend combines London's love of coffee and alcohol, in one venue. A coffee shop during the day, the venue also has a full bar, with a variety cocktails as well as Guiness available.
|
At first glance, Perfect Blend doesn't know what it wants to be. By day a lovely coffee shop, with a good food menu, by night a trendy bar with a nice cocktail list.
It is fairly comfortable, but they just can't seem to get the service right. I waited 45 minutes for breakfast one Sunday morning was told it was because 'they're ALWAYS busy' - so why not get extra staff? Well, they did. For a few months, service was fast and friendly. However, the friendly, helpful bar manager appears to have been dispensed with after a few months, mores the pity, as service has slipped again.
