The foodie revolution doesn't appear to have hit this part of north East Yorkshire yet, although this was probably one of the better places in the area as its the only place we visited twice

Claims to be the best pub in Filey and says it has up to 5 real ales on, on this occasion there was 3 . Something from Rudgates, one called back of the net and another I can't remember. Opted for back of the net which was pleasant enough but nothing to write home about. The place does home cooked food but it doesn't inspire you to eat there as the place looks a bit dirty.

2nd GBG 2015 tick in Filey and a very different place to the Imperial.
Part of the old Royal Crescent hotel complex just a stones throw from the front.
2pm when we wander in and we double the number of punters to 4.
Small bar area situated to the right as you enter. The usual array of lagers and ciders on keg with 4 ales on cask. My drop of Scarborough Brewery Stout @ 4.6% is perfectly kept. £2.50 a pint is a decent price as well.
Old fashioned decoration with some of the tables looking a little tired, but this is a pleasant bar and again a good tick for me.

Went into Bonhommes in Filey this weekend-still by far the best bar in Filey.-Keep up the good work people.

In the Bonnehomme again this weekend. A gem of a pub. This time saw Tetley, Titanic Stout, Everards IPA, Yorkshire Gold, and their house beer all on draft (that I can remember).
Keep up the good work.

The phrase "friendly local" is a trite one - oft employed and seldom true. But Bonhommes is an exceptionally friendly little place.
It's a little tucked away but not too far from the sea front. Like the Tardis, it's not much to look at from the outside, but don't be put off and do venture inside
As soon as we walked in there was a beaming, friendly greeting from the barman, followed immediately by an enthusiastic and affectionate description of the real ales on offer, together of course with samples to taste.
What's more, the bar posse sat in front of the bar were as friendly as the barman - I suppose having one of the brewers of the fine real ales I was sampling ensures that there is a certain degree of quality control!
Well worth seeking out and definitely worth stopping in for a pint or two. Oh and I'm not a local or the owner or anything (you can see my other review if you like), just someone who thinks credit should be given where it's due.

Friendly, comfortable pub with excellent real ales. I have visited approx 6 times in about a year and they usually have at least one beer over 6%. I usually take away a 4 pt container of one of these.

Comfertable surroundings, excellent choice of real ales, friendly locals. Kris (bar manager) knows his beers and he knows how to run a bar. The best pub in Filey.

A great place, utter delight to drink in - several real ales (which made the Fosters sign outside a bit hard to fathom) with the JPJ the best of the bitters. IT HAD A MILD - 6%, so i hope that does not mean that the place will be forced to close!
The chap behind the bar was friendly and all in all the best place in Filey without a doubt. Its tucked out of the way a bit - but worth finding

I found this to be a delightful pub with a welcome that was as warm as the real fire and as friendly as the young and pleasant bar staff.
There were 5 real ales on offer and reasonably priced too.
All in all pretty good really for midweek in early December.

As Filey pubs go this is by far the best of a bad bunch.Friendly atmosphere, comfortable and nice decor. Also, unusually for Fileya good range of real ales. Most Filey pubs are rough and scruffy. If you are visiting and want a drink find Bonhommes
