Lovely village local, a really nice place to spend an evening, be it for a swift pint or a longer session...
Beer is top notch, Harvey's Best always seems to be available and there are usually quite a few guests. Have been some good ones of late - Skinners Betty Stogs, Timothy Taylor Landlord, WJ King Brighton Best, Purity Mad Goose. Food is good too, proper pub grub and reasonable prices

The last time I came in here was with mates about 9-10 months ago, didn't post a review out of pity at the time, it was unbelievably horrible, decorated like a tarts boudoir, sticky carpet, landlady drunk on wrong side of bar and someone ordered a Guinness - they got a CAN!!! Then it closed down, no real surprise there - but it opened again a couple of months ago.................
WOW - what a transformation! It gleams, it looks great, and new landlords Jon & Dee are doing a great job. There were 5 real ales on and a cask cider, Harveys, Black Cat, Pedigree, all good - can't remember the others but never mind, they are changing every week and prices sensible. Can't speak highly enough and more power to them

Very friendly and welcoming pub with excellent lunches. Decor a little tired but nothing to detract from an uplifting experience.

Hadn't realised how much this nice local relied on Craig, but now he's gone sadly, and there are rather too many customers no longer allowed in nearby Crowborough pubs that belong to Pubwatch. I suggets Annie joins Pubwatch which might hit her in the pocket short term, but she'd get a lot of her nicer customers back. Beer's still good though.

What a great village pub. Full of very friendly locals every night of the week and with the friendliest landlord and landlady you will ever meet. They have transformed this establishment in the two or three years they have been there. Excellent basic pub grub, good beer, darts and a TV that's only occasionally on, mainly for big name sport and at low or no volume. It's a classic atmosphere that one had thought had disappeared from pubs years ago. Mixture of hard chairs, tables and sofas. A previous post mentioned a number of chavs frequenting the place, but that was only for a short period and they have moved on to pastures new. A great place for a quiet but friendly drink.

What a great little Pub, the friendliest Landlady & Lord in the history of the joint. great "PUB" food, great "Live" entertainment. Good village crowd, Great atmosphere.......... well done all.

This ia a good old fashioned pub and I've popped in here quite a bit, the landlady is a big change for the better over previous incumbent, and the beer is good, but for some reawson they are attracting loads of chavvy types that really put me off.

Very small pub filled with locals. Just a pub, not a restaurant, but does serve reasonably priced food, although we didn't eat ourselves. Can't remember ever being made to feel so welcome by the barman/landlord? If you don't know anyone in town, go in here! They even suggest trying something different to drink if you want a change. A pub which is a breath of fresh air. It's a proper pub!
