Pubs been sold. Shuts on the 10th January 2014. Future unknown, sad loss.

Pubs up for sale with freehold at £425000. Good old Punch Taverns. If sold hope it stays as a pub, but in this day and aged very unlikely. Will be a great loss to the village.

Small main bar, annex with a pool table and darts, very decent pint of Jurassic (brewed a couple of miles down the road) for under three quid a pint and a large beer garden. Still no food apart from promise of Sunday lunches. J

Very much a locals pub, good for catching up on the local gossip in the village. Very warm and friendly staff, limited selection of beers, but made up for in the quality of them. No food at the moment, but dogs and children are made welcome so there is a family friendly atmosphere.

A good little local hidden away off Wyke Square. Very welcoming landlady, beer garden out the back, pool/darts etc. Has everything a pub should.
