The White Ferry, Victoriaback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Some 8 years since our last visit and thankfully things have changed for the better. Now owned by the Pub Love group. A good selection of ales on tap, sorry forgot to make a list, and over 20 bottled beers available. Very good burgers as well. Last and not least a far less threatening atmosphere. Its a bit out of the way but deserving of a visit.

CHRISTMAS QUIZ --------------------- Tomorrow will be my last quiz of 2013 - come along to The White Ferry House in Pimlico/Victoria and join in the fun. It will be a Christmas themed quiz so expect a picture round of celebrity santas and a music round filled with well-known songs that you only get to hear at this time of year!
£1 per person to enter, maximum of 5 players per team, £30 bar tab to the winners and all entry money will be going to Great Ormond Street Hospital for sick children so if you come and play you're doing something really worthwhile
Seriously, it's a good quiz tailored to ensure that everybody gets at least some of the answers right in each round and most people will do much better than they expect so come along with a crowd, have a drink or two, enjoy the delicious pizza available from the kitchen and show off your incredible brain-power by answering questions like "Which drinks company invented the modern image of Santa in the red suit and the big white beard?"

I've just started hosting a quiz on Thursday evenings at The White Ferry House - it's been well received so far with a decent turn out over the past few weeks.
The quiz is a populist quiz covering 5 rounds with a picture round and a music round with the other 3 varying each week. I normally kick off between 7pm and 7.30pm and finish between 8.45pm and 9.15pm.
£1 per player, maximum of 5 people per team, all entry money goes to charity and the winning team receives a £30 bar tab.
If you're interested, feel free to just drop in but you might want to call up and book a table to avoid disappointment.

No ale on but it is a pub and not a poced up version of one.

Only Courage Best on, which was not brilliant even if it was only 2.30 a pint. This pub still has separate Public and Saloon Bars, with many original Victorian features still in place, including a very impressive bar back. Theres a pool table in the public bar undoubtedly not Victorian! This is a very comfortable pub. The music being played was not too loud, but it was not improved by having to compete with the tinny radio with the racing on. I quite like this pub, but I would like it a lot more if they did a decent ale I suppose the locals dont drink much ale.

What could be called a "Real Locals" pub, you'll either love it for being just that or hate it. WHen we were there it had the atmosphere of a funeral. Not for us I'm afraid. Mind you its a lovely old building
