I've lived in the area for a number of years and only recently made it round to this lovely little place. I found it very friendly (staff and locals), the drinks were good and reasonably priced too. I didn't eat but did notice some delicious smells and lots of empty plates going back in - always a good sign. As Arnie once said "I'll be back"!

A fantastic local, Pete and Cath are great landlords. It has all the right ingredients, good pub grub, excellent beer and great company. They are always happy to put the rugby on when there are internationals and I definately recommend the fortnightly quiz on a Wednesday night, although its more like a one man comedy routine, hilarious and you dont have to be a pub quiz geek to have a great night!

Went here on 14/2/09 with a group of friends to watch the rugby, great atmosphere, great beer, food at half time in the rugby very friendly staff.
If you're looking for proper pub in Leamington you won't be disappointed

Good beer, great food, friendly family atmosphere, just what a pub should be! It's just like adding another room to your home. The staff and customers are like family.
Pete and Cath are wonderful hosts, you would be mad to pass this pub by.

A really good local with a diverse range of customers. A vast majority support the local footbal team leamington FC,some support premier teams even Villa and Arsenal but hey who cares. They serve a good variety of real ale all kept to a high standard, all the bar staff are friendly and efficient. they serve a good variety of pub food again all of a high standard and in large proportions. Pete and Kath the landlord and landlady are a really freindly and hard working couple who will make you feel really welcome and ensure you will want to return and enjoy their hospitallity time and time again.

Having been a regular for 14 years I've seen 5 changes in Landlords. Its a great boozer. Sadly the pub was run down both physically and spiritually by the last owners but I,m glad to say that the current owners ( Pete and Cath)are bringing it back to the friendly welcoming place it used to be. Football is back and things are better all round. Its worth a visit just to see Pete who is a double for Super Mario.

This pub is nice again, it was awfull when geraldine and pat ran it, they used to reserve their own table by the door and make you feel most un-welcome (very clicky). Good luck Dave the new landlord.

used to live in leam 4 years ago, just round the corner from this pub. have never found a local as good since. remember it when john was running it, and geraldine worked for them and pat used to come in for a beer, so pleased to hear that they run it now, they are perfect for it, geraldines cooking is great and pat was so friendly. we made lots of friends there and were really upset when we had to move to have our baby

We were backpacking on holiday from the USA and were rescued from an exceptionally challenging day by the finest folks you could meet, The pub owners, Patrick and Geralding Ryan(Beware, her cooking is out of this world fantastic). After they helped us find a B&B and the bartender (their nephew)brought us to it, they held dinner hours longer to accomidate our late schedule then invited us to the landlords table for two of the most fun evenings we had in England. We must have visited 30 or more pubs on our trip, this was the "best" for food, atmosphere and a friendly patronage.
