Red Lion, Aldershotback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Visited while they were severely under pressure and they coped extremely well. Ales in good condition and 4 excellent meals produced in reasonable time. Couldn't really check decor, etc, pub was too busy to see :) I shall definately go back.

Having grown up in Aldershot I used the Red Lion often. After many years away I now find myself visiting the area each month. On returning to the Red Lion I find the atmosphere hasn't changed. A very pleasant, welcoming oasis in the desert that Aldershot is. Without doubt the best pub in Aldershot in my view.

Nice cosy pub a short walk from the football ground, but definitely not a rowdy football bar when I visited.
|
Large pub with large screens in the bar and a seperate but joined eating area. A choice of four real ales on my visit: Doom Bar, London Pride, Bombadier and Hog's Back TEA. Went for the local beer and it was a well kept pint.

What a nice pub. The Red Lion has a country pub atmosphere, Real fire, Christmas decorations, and a decent pint of Doom Bar. Nothing like the review below.

I have never had to write a bad reveiw about anypun but last night when i visited the red lion i was sat at the bar and the getleman next to me started talking to a small group that came in i belive they run a pub down the road, the woman behind the bar just exploded shouting at them to leave. When i was in the pub game everyone helped everyone, I dont know what pub they run but the seemed nice enough and i think i will find them and drink there in future. Things like that sound not be sounded off across the bar, what wrong with just having a quite word.

EXCELLENT STAFF, WONDERFUL FOOD, LOVELY ATMOSPHERE. FOUND IT BY ACCIDENT HAVING TRAVELLED FROM MIDDLESEX TO VISIT A FRIEND. HAS NOW BECOME MY FAVOURITE PORT OF CALL WHEN IN THE AREA
