Very average pub with 'quirky' decor. Agree with what others have said about the staff - they weren't the friendliest bunch!
Whilst the selection of beers was rather poor I did enjoy a nice pint of Courage Best poured with a sprinkler!
Also - what sort of a pub doesn't have crisps?!?! 'The only snacks we have are olives' - NO!

Is this a pub ? I arranged to meet somebody here, and walked straight past, as I thought that it was a cafe. Anyway, did manage to find my way inside, and it is just a pizza parlour that sells very expensive beer. The choice of beers is fantastic, if you like lager, Guinness or John Smiths. Basically a crap choice of beers at seriously expensive prices, in a pizza parlour. Not sure how this place qualifies as a pub, or gets a listing on this site. Safe to say I won't be popping in here again....unless I get the urge for a pizza.

Sadly the 2 for 1 pizzas are of random quality. We had 2 pamplonas. One was fine, the other somewhat burnt. We complained. Members of staff told us that one pizza was free so they would not replace it. The manager was apparently upstairs but did not come down. We drank up and left vowing never to return. Sad- it's not at all a bad bar otherwise.

On the up again. Been renamed The Rosslyn, and while the layout is the same it's been tidied up around the edges. Beers are fine, staff a mix of helpful and studied moodyness. Get rid of the barmen who belt their jeans around their knees and it'll be back in business.
Nice place on a sunny day again.

This place is ok, but not as good as it was a few years ago. The pizzas are good and the staff are friendly enough, although there are a couple of locals that need to be avoided.
There are better places in the area.

Went in last week and the bloke who used to be the drummer with Culture Club was banging on a drum kit. Dirty glasses and flat lager with a sullen and disinterested barman. Only good thing was the lovely smiling barmaid but not that good to make me want to return. Pub up for sale apparently so maybe it will improve.

Watch the step down as you go in. I didn't, much to the amusement of the girl behind the bar & a couple of guys seated nearby....
I liked this place a lot, intimate tables & non-matching chairs on a scuffed up wooden floor. A good atmosphere, good bar service, I'll definitely come back.
