Large, modern pub on the edge of a retail development that has pretty much nil character. Food appears to predominate. But there were still a few drinkers standing at the bar. As you'd expect, beers are all from the Marstons range - Banks's Bitter, Ringwood Forty Niner, Marstons Pedigree & Wychwood Hobgoblin. Not a lot to recommend it.

This pub has now been extensively refurbished and has an excellent food menu including a good carvery. There is a good choice of premium lagers on draft and three cask ales which are superbly kept.

The new manager there is very friendly and has an excellent team. The pub has a nice garden and play area for the kids but us oldies can also enjoy the tasteful surroundings.

I hope you like it.

Went into this pub a few months back on a Saturday night at about 9.30pm. Live a mile down the road and had been in there maybe 6-10 times previously. I had always thought the pub offered a great place to catch live football and rugby, and also was an ideal place to eat cheaply. However this latest Saturday night episode has put me off the place (well certainly weekend night's). There were a sizeable mixture of extremely drunk regulars (many of them well over 40). One guy in a Rab C Nesbitt style vest well into his 40's rolled on the floor legless and had to be carried out at closing time. There were some scantily clad fancy dress girls in their early 20's who frolicked around with more front than Brighton! They teased the older guys in the pub and snogged each other. A contingent of youngsters in the corner were on another planet. I'd still go in The Weavers but not on a Saturday or Friday night. It's a family friendly place by day but if you're just after a quiet pint with minimal hassle avoid the mad late one's in there!
