very expensive pub, £7.50 for a lager top, wont go back

Beauchamp St is a fairly narrow shopping street running of the south side of the main Cromwell Rd. The shops manage to combine tweeness with massive expense so it's never been a shopping destination of choice for me although I am a fan of the Ofado Portuguese restaurant.
The Beauchamp pub is about half way down the street and is a double frontage with a central door that leads into a single room with a bar along the right hand side. This should be a pleasant place to drink but the rather nasty decor consisting of dark brown leather sofas, armchairs and worst of all brown leather upholstered cubes as stools takes away a lot of the appeal. Upstairs to the rear left there was some slightly more conventional seating but really the decor here is pretty poor.
The bar offering was limited with three pumps two of which were not in use and the third having GKIPA
Could be much, much better than it is

Bit of a contrast between the tablecloths and napkins for those people eating out the front and the split-level 'distressed' wood interior. The low sofas and padded stools won't be to everybody's taste, but it seemed pretty popular with a young crowd. Limited food menu, but not as expensive as I was expecting. Three handpumps - GKIPA, Skinners Cornish Blonde (badly overpriced at 3.80, and served too warm) and another one disused.

We went into Harrods for lunch, and me a working class bloke from Battersea! Harrods was rammed, it was like a bad tempered crowd in a London railway terminus, we went straight in one door and out another, still I can now say I've done Harrods and if I never go back it won't be too soon. Craving food we ended up at the Beauchamp in Beauchamp Place, we got a round in and ordered food, it's pub grub but hey, any port in a storm. On tap they had Green King something or other and Cornish Blonde an English wheat beer, the first I've ever had. Three pints later the food had not arrived but an apologetic member of staff presented us with a dish of olives and a promise that the food was on the way. Twenty minutes later he came back and treated our group to a free round of drinks and our lunch. The pub is shabby and in need of much TLC, however the beer was good, the food was good, and the staff, just 2 of them, hence the long wait, were excellent and for those reasons the place deserves a 10!

Had a few real ale pumps on display, but both were off. Some lagers were also off, which is a bit worrying. Mixture of office/shop workers and friends after work, followed by less salubrious types (maybe from the club opposite) later on. Bar type furniture: small low sofas and tables etc. Not a real pub. I think this place has a late license. Verdict: OK for an emergency lager and a sit down, or late at night. Not an ale venue.

I did not try the food: I've only drank one bitter. And it was really good. The local is a little too "disco-oriented" for me, but it doesn't matter

waited 45mins for food - table next to us ordered after but got served before. then they said it was cold. decided to leave
would never visit it again.

Absolutely dreadful. There are some fantastic pubs around, some with excellent gastro menus THIS IS NOT ONE of them. Great location dreadfully badly run. The Ladies toilets are a disgrace.

Don't. I mean really, really don't bother. This place is busy cos it is in Knightsbridge not cos it is any good.
Full of gangsters. Cartoon type thugs who apparently own the place. (they don't know what they are doing but best not to complain. Vote with your feet). Food was absolutely dreadful, over priced, woeful standard. The service was willing but pretty clueless. The wine was corked. My real ale was cloudy & lumpy. The diet coke was ok.
