Very friendly, food fair, beer good, B&B cosy but no breakfast due to the kitchen being worked on, (we left at 9.30. am but no one was in the kitchen) tea and coffee provided also towels, however!! The water was not hot or even luke warm, barely tepid, that was a real let down. CONCLUSION. Disappointing but could be really good

Called in for an early dinner with four adults and two children. We were the first customers on the Sunday evening. Should have bailed out when we we tried to order, only to find that more than half of the menu items were unavailable, but we were settled with drinks by then.
Elderly Australian(?) guy was running the bar on his own (although he couldn't work the till) and also waiting tables. Food took an hour to arrive, and was fair. Steak was a bit tough, but chips were good. The kids wanted desserts, so we ordered and waited almost another hour, meanwhile our main course plates had not been cleared away.
My patience snapped and so I cleared the plates myself and dumped them on the bar, and demanded the phone number of the owner. Much to my surprise, the barman claims to be the owner! Watch out for this place to be boarded up, as I can't imagine it surviving the winter with this clown in charge.
(Bonus whinge: the WiFi that is boldly advertised outside didn't work either!)

Had a light lunch in here after a five mile walk. Nice enough place really, food and pints were fine. I guess it's just that sort of pub though that people drive on past and never really go in.
8/10

Eaten here a couple of times recently on the way in to Minehead - friendly staff, beers kept OK and good pub food at reasonable prices.

Went here with the family last summer. Nice honest food on a pleasant decking area out the back. Good ales served although inside it did appear to be the local hang out for the local "yoof". To be fair, there's probably nowhere else in Carhampton for them to go! They werent causing any bother though.

I went in for a quiet pint one Saturday afternoon. The service was friendly and the pub has a pleasing interiour and seating area. The one draw back was 4 teenage boys watching horse racing and their phones were constantly beeping as they were texting. Placing bets? Anyway, they also controlled the remote making me think they had the fool blessings of the landlord.

There's potential here in this old building. However, I did not car for the 3 chavs hanging about the TV watching horse racing and constantly texting so I had to hear there electronic blinging. They had the TV remote, so you know they were part of the in-crowd.
