Wasn't overly impressed with this place. It does feel a bit upmarket and has prices to match. Most people appear to be in there for the food. Drinks prices were high (£8.25 for a half of cider and 2 soft drinks). But most people are probably focused on the food prices and don't notice the added extras. Two ales were on - Rebellion IPA & Sharps Doom Bar. Nice location. But could be much better.

Oh dear! I went in there. Had to wait over ten minutes to be served by the grumpy and surly Landlord who was only interested in serving diners rather than drinkers.
This was once a great community local, the sort where airline pilots and dustmen all rubbed shoulders and all the customers and staff looked after each other. Now it is a bistro style restaurant with wicker furniture and scatter cushions in the former public bar. The locals have left in droves and won't return until the current licence leaves.
The Rebellion beer is perfectly drinkable but the place is soulless and a shadow of it's former self.

In the middle of a long walk from Maidenhead to Twyford, the rain came just as the Beehive hove into view. Taking this as a sign, we entered.
And quite pleasant it was too. Our table was laid for us by helpful staff whilst we supped some excellent Loddon's Ferryman's Gold. London Pride and Brakspears IPA were also available. Decor was unspectacular but was probably better in the restaurant bit.
The pub was pretty popular too which makes a nice change from many of the desolate lunchtimes that we've spent on our own.
Food was unfancy but perfectly fine. Burger and chips at a fairly regular price of 9.95. This meal did come with coleslaw though which, due to a trauma earlier in my life, I cannot even look at. I wish pubs did coleslaw warnings for the likes of me.
But I digress. The Beehive was fine however and like most of those commenting below, I happily recommend that you visit.

Terrible pint of Pride, served by a grumpy Landlord. It is not a pub but a restaurant with a small bar that serves small portions of pub grub at large prices. Don't take children, they store the high chairs in the gents toilet!

Good village pub, busy with local business folk at lunchtime and locals in the evening - they will look at you when you enter but fear not, they are friendly.
Well kept ales, good food and handsome portions, smiley staff and clean loos.
But don't go or you'll take up my space.

A popular venue for locals. A good range of beers on offer, always with a guest ale. Friendly efficient staff serve the bar and restaurant area. My impression over the years is that food portions may be diminishing, but price hasnt. However, having experienced a range of pub food from different regions over the past few weeks, Id vote for atmosphere and quality every time. Too many pubs seem to think that filling the plate with a mess of reheated mediocrity is acceptable. This pub is definitely not one of those.

Very nice, comfortable English Village pub. Brakspears, London Pride and Hogsback brews, all kept in excellent condition. Food, 1st Class, atmosphere 100%, staff very helpful and friendly.

Excellent village pub opposite the local cricket pitch. Friendly staff, good food and excellent beer including guest ales such as Loddon's Ferryman's Gold.
