I have quite enjoyed the time I have spent here, the atmosphere is chilled throughout the week and the weekends have some really good music and fun vibes. I recommend it!

Attractive blond barmaid=friendly, landlord (Dave?) less so. The kind of landlord that ignores you whilst you wait to be served if the bar staff are having a loo break. Not sure if he is a racist or just a rude arrogant f-wit, sadly I assume he is both.
Beer Ok, reasonable prices. Fairly clean but smells like a chip shop.
Free WIFI but can't rate it given that the WIFI wasn't working properly.
Zero rating only because the of the landlord's behaviour today, otherwise a 5 or 6 (based on a quiet midweek early evening ).

Watch your pint in this pub! Several people have experienced having their pint half inched when not looking - and it's not the bar staff clearing up dregs....just a bunch of tossers looking for freebies!

I was recently entertaining some friends in the Ruislip area when we decided to visit the local hostelry for a few snorters. I bowled out into Ruislip High Street and discovered the Sweeneys public house. Whilst the doormen with their shiny heads and shoes were initially intimidating we decided to enter and see if there really was cead mille failte. What lay beyond the swinging doors was truly remarkable. As I entered I was greeted by a cacophony of sound which was apparently the local clientele venting their passions over an Association Football match. Apparently Arsenal had gained the upper hand in a dog fight with Chelsea and things looked glum for the Gucci suited Kings Road curb crawlers. However a late hit and hope from one of their rouble sniffing gangstas provided an unjustified equaliser. Although not a soccer fan myself I could appreciate the injustice of this lucky strike from a midfielder who may well of been playing for time. That said the beer was excellent and we all had a jolly good laugh at Ashley Coles attempts to remember he is a defender and there maybe a player to mark somewhere on the left side of the pitch what a card!
Definitely worth a visit!
NB: Jack Dee Jose Mourinho both comedians, never see them together do you?

i played there last night (DONUT) - and we had a great night. This is a good boozer and worth a visit, its big, long bar, various screens and a great place for the bands to play. Jason who runs the bar is a top chap and just the right attitude for a pub like this.
Best pub in Ruislip by far.

One of the best pubs in hillingdon, fantastic atmosphere to watch any major sporting event without any hint of trouble, has 3 big plasma screens+a large roll down projected screen. the manager joey is happy to show any sort of sport and can show different things as screens are independant, there is also live bands every saturday night from about 8pm.There is a new catering company in place and the food cooked on the premises is very good. the age group veries from 25-80 which is a good mix with idiots being thrown out at the first hint of trouble. if you want a good night out with friends or family this is the place to go.

previous manager was a total arse. thank god hes gone. new govna seems cool. guiness is very good. gonna start using it more.
|
Definitely a good venue for watching sport - plenty of screens so you have got a better than average chance of having an uninterrupted view. It also seems to attract more than it's fair share of totty on football nights so that should be reason to go on it's own !

New landlord since November 2004. Top Pub . Good food on new menu. Live music on Sat nights.

Probably the best pub in the area, great for football, food isnt bad, nice for a quiet drink during the day or a loud social one in the evenings.
|
Agree totally about the landlord - he is extremely rude and unhelpful. Don't try to watch any sport that he doesn't agree with.
