Pretty soulless Wetherspoonesque pub that's about to out Wetherspooned by the Wetherspoons opening down the road. Not the place for me, but busiest pub in the town so must be doing something right.

Definately one of leeks better pubs, decent size place, tidy with friendly staff and decent food too. This is one of the barracuda chain and has a standard menu which offers a good variety. Only issue is the numerous occasions we've been in and they've run out of half the dishes on the menu. So availability could really be improved, otherwise not a bad place at all.

I am a regular visitor to Stoke and Leek from Croydon and always aim to visit the Engine Room since I stumbled upon it in February 2006.
Very much like Tiger Tiger in Croydon, but with the addition of Knightsbridge-Leek prices - 2.95 for an orange Reef!!! (October 2006).
That being its only failing, I shall be returning with more than a few dispersed Londoners over the next six months. (CROYDON school reunion!!).

yeh good clean pub, perfect for the sports enthusiast, loads of plasma tvs so you won't miss a goal, the foods ok and the ice cream belt buster with the warm muffins is 2 die 4,but they should invest in some proper glasses cuz most of the drinks are served in the wrong ones, especially the guinness, served in a bitter glass is not on,and the lagers sometimes served in the wrong glass making the drink look flat, get some widgets 4 your glasses and you've cracked it
