Worst Nightclub Ever

If you fancy crossing paths with slack-jawed wankers, overweight middle-aged men desparate for sex and the occasional punchy teenager high on Stella, then this is the place for you. Also, London prices for drinks and 'security staff' who've read one too many Andy McNab books.

An ideal night club for those that can't get into a members-only establishment. On the classier end of Portsmouth clubs and light-years ahead of the competitors in Guilldhall Walk or Southsea.
Door staff seem to do their job well, but that doesn't include a ban on chavs.
Good happy-hour cocktail selection, although bar prices are dear for the area. Staff ability and attentiveness varies considerably. Although some staff are very good, too many of their colleagues look better than they perform, which means that getting served can take an age, with no guarantee that the bar person you get is good.

I always go here with the rest of the team whenever we're down in Pompey.
Yes, it's expensive and is full of pretentious posers, but if you go in armed with that information then it's not a problem.
The place is always full, so they must be doing something right.

Tiger Tiger !! Branding sold out; **VERY** expensive drink prices, and yet very few bar staff - expect a long wait ! Was great when it opened but now full of horrible chavs... Definatly NOT worth the money, many far better venues. and the restaraunt is awful -proceesed overpriced junk food from a packet. Its got ideas far above reality- try somewhere else were you treated as a customer not an inconvineince; Horrible, expensive, avoid.

For "Tiger,Tiger" read "Chav, Chav" !!!
Absolute world class rip-off crap !

Having been to Portsmouth twice in six months, I have been to this bar. Cant remember much because I was quite drunk both times but I do seem to remember it is quite pricey. Non pub related- I think I know who H-Files is because I am always printing his football shirts!

I saw Tiger Tiger in Portsmouth flash up on the home page yesterday and it brought back fond memories of my visits here. Layout very similar to the ones in Newcastle, Croydon, Manchester and Haymarket, Central London. I appreciate how these places can appear pretentious and are relatively expensive, but I have always enjoyed myself in the Pompey one when searching for H-Files at least. For instance, 3 visits = 5 H-File candidates!
Not sure if I will get the chance to pop in after Charlton play at Portsmouth on 20 January, but if you are in the Gunwharf vicinity, this place is certainly worth a visit.

An over priced venue with no atmosphere, just posers, but obviously does well, as it is always busy. Maybe the people that go there have more money then sense! Southsea Local

I had the misfortune to go to this overpriced pretentious dive for a friends birthday - she'd organised a guest list in advance (I couldn't really tell why as there were no benefits) and within 20 mins bouncers had removed a friends of ours for being too drunk when none of us had even managed to make it to the bar yet! The guy they removed is very tall and camp, obviuosly not their usual ben sherman clad stocky thugs so they chucked him out for drunkeness without a single drop passing his lips, when the birthday girl went to complain that we'd only just got there and she had a guest list (which he was on) she also got herself barred for trying to explain to them while they were busy with customers - i really want to emphasise that not one of our party had been drinking and to this day we can't quite fathom why the door staff were so determined to ruin my friends birthday, not a single swear word or attempt at violence was made by any of us so they couldn't even accuse us of that, just kept saying due to drunkeness! Don't bother it's crap.
