Looked lovely as I drove past, so I thought I would pop in, not knowing its a vintage Inn. Not really my cup of tea - a barn of an eating area with a typically uninspired menu.
It was functional for my needs of getting something to eat but not worthy of the fine building that it is housed in.

Visited for the first time. Typical formula eating pub - not inspired but competent. Food was good, and the service generally good. The beers I tried - London Pride and Broadside were in very good condition and not too expensive by local standards. 6X was also on. Negative points - a guest beer each in in september was promised, but there was no sign, and our desserts took ages to arrive (the waitress aopologised profusely and saide she didn't know they'd been ordered - but my wife had already paid for them!) More welcoming for those only drinking than the rival Peacock Farm - mind you that wouldn't be hard!

No longer a punb with food, more of a restaurant with drinks.
Very little area for drinkers, but the beer is pleasant.

Very busy pub with a good atmosphere. Service is good but can be a little on the slow side at the bar. Cashback not offered and the in-house cash point was not working when we visited in early July 2008. Traffic noise is high although this does not detract. Good value for money and easy parking.

The pub is non smoking which is a bonus. Only had London Pride and it was well kept. Went there for the food which was excellent. Service was very good, we were looked after but not pushed to leave the restaurant area after eating. There were plenty of competent staff. It is clean and well groomed.

We ate here last weekend with our two year old son. Very friendly staff, quick service, and very nice food too, reasonably priced and large portions. Safe fenced beer/dining garden, bit of traffic noise but not overbearing. Will definitely be back.
