We watched the World cup in here and it was great. We arrived early and got a good seat it does get rowdy being a sports bar the only bad point was Englands pathetic performance on the pitch!

landlord is a local " publican celeb", an off the wall pub usually with a great selection of beers, never felt uncomfortable here even when packed out.
never sure what might happen next, but it will be fun

Never once have i left this pub with a sense of regret for going in (maybe in the morning when i look in my wallet) Good selection with decent prices and good atmos. most of the time, even if it can be overbearing at times.

Tried this place for the first time last wednesday night for the champions league final. There are screens everywhere!!!! Even a rooftop garden.......with a screen.... to cater for the smokers I guess.
First pint was a bombadier, only average to say the least so switched to lager for the (long) night. It was packed so it's hard to guess what it's like when there isn't a sporting event being screened.
Overall, not bad though, landlord very cheery and obliging, and a good night was had, us being neutrals...

at last a pub wish caters for rugby fans as well as football fans. good selection of beers and cider have eaten here twice and enjoyed it on both ocasions. agree with everyone else about the Landlord.

I agree, good pub,good beer and Landlord very chatty. Only been there daytime so not witnessed any trouble

Yes great landlord and all about the rugby and beer is true but just lately there has been lots of trouble with fights ect between punters so until they get this undercontrol not a very high rating from me, sorry

Surprised this one escaped the BITE team as it is the best pub in Dawlish IMHO. Several real ales, great landlord who loves his rugby and beer. What more do you want?
