Well, made a re-visit this week and three of the four hand pumps were off! Only real ale available was Pedigree New World 3.8% - I went for this at £3.65 for the pint.
Settled cloudy with a light bubbly head. I was a bit suspicious about how cloudy it was until I tasted it and it seemed spot on. Quite hoppy and refreshing.
Hopefully the real ale drought was a temporary setback!

Visited here and noted four pumps at the bar (two banks of two). My Darlin' Lemontime took my fancy but appeared to go off during the final stages of being poured. The barman looked at it with a puzzled expression then had to offer me another drink. I went for the Ubu (by Purity) which was pleasant enough, though at £3.70 for the pint I would have expected no less. Other ales available were Doom Bar and Old Speckled Hen.
Pleasant modern pub, outside drinking area, perhaps geared up more towards dining but plenty of informal seating for just enjoying a drink.
Would definitely be tempted to re-visit if in the area.

I went in one Sunday afternoon and had two lovely pints, pleasantly served an in a clean and comfortable environment. The barman chilled the glasses too, so I give the top marks. I didn't think the prices were exceptional for a very well heeled part of Brum.

AS it says on the outside it's a dining pub, so not somewhere I'd recommend for a drinking session; however, it's OK for a meal with a reasonable pint (in this case a well kept Purity Ubu), there were two ales and a number of lagers available. THey're child friendly and the kitchen were responsive to the two errors made with our food order (including recognising that the bolognese was burnt and as that batch had to be thrown away making a special pasta dish for my youngest daughter at no cost to us).

It's now 3.25 for average TT Landlord as others say... far too expensive to bother returning

I came to Birmingham for a business meeting and went to lunch in this pub. Expensive drinks, expensive cold food, rude bar staff. I would never use this pub again.

3.00 a pint for not very good Timmy Taylor's Landlord! I won't be going there again in a hurry.

As for a pub - is good, particularly as it has a very good collection of continental lagers - where would you find in Britain a Leffe on tap?!! Atmosphere is also nice and cosy, continental type, not the smokey traditional English pub. Where it is badly let down, is the quality of food. Attempting to look posh, but forgetting about the basic ingredients - the food is either bland (if you take a fish), or extremely fatty, if you get anything. So, my advice: "come for a nice drink, and then go somewhere else to eat!"

How much for two drinks?
Recently refurbished from an old Toby Carvery, The White Swan is now a too-cool-for-school poseurs paradise. Decor is very swish and modern, on a black theme. Drinks are equally swish and fancy, with trendy forgein lagers, and if you're lucky some TT Landlord (not necessarily on top form though).
However, prices are far far too expensive, and as such I can't see any particular reason to return.
