A great friendly family run pub, after a couple of visits the bar staff knew our drinks order and always had time for a chat, the food was great value for money and the portion size huge, the quality of meat was excellent definitely on our list on our return to Cornwall.

This pub is very tired - no money spent on it for years. It's decor is very dated and old fashioned. The toilets are disgustingly smelly - worse than some of the public toilets i've been in. The prices of the beer and food is expensive. I hear there is a Wetherspoons being built in Perranporth - watch out the Tywarnhayle!!

Prices are rather steep, I know it's the holiday season but 5.40 for a pint of Doombar and a lime and lemonade is somewhat over the top.

A big pub, can get busy at mealtimes, not overly impressed with the standard of food for the price. Big screens for football and sports, outside seating area. A couple of ales on the bar, not too bad a venue for a drink on your way around town.

Great nite in here, dancing to "Rudi's message". 1am bar, plus I copped! - Result!

Enjoyed the fish and chips at this pub with our Betty Stogs. No problem with either food or beer.

Great pub. How can you say that its bad. GOOD

Large popular pub, especially at lunch time. Sells real ale. Very friendly staff. Serves lunch & evening meals. Has a kids area. One woman, at the next table, her voice sounded like Vera Duckworth from Coronation Street. That was back in June.

Take care parking on the square outside the Ty. They have wheel clampers at work even on the Ty`s own slots. Half an hours parking and then 176 to be released. Thats from spring 2007. I have stopped using the place for this reason.

one doesn't expect to get great service anywhere in Cornwall, and this place is no exception.

Beer here was in good condition. Food was nice but not the biggest portion of cheesy chips in the world for 2:50. Close to the beach with a nice patio area. Good mixture of locals and holiday makers.
