Amazing spanish tapas, one of the best I've tried so far. Crispy dep fried squid, beautifull paella, nice meatballs too. We go there for lunch twice a week because of his 5 Lunch Menu, extremely worthy. Normal beer, clean toilets, friendly staff. Check it out

This place is strange. I want to like it but for some strange reason I can't. It has vastly improved since the refurb took place several months ago. The beer is good, it shows some sport, and is nice and comfy and light. The service isn't bad either...but still there is something wrong with this pub.

God help us.
This might possibly be the worst pub I have ever been to.

Not a nice place... don't bother. Arrogant staff, poor quality beer.

Pretty good. The manager was great - despite having lost the area reservation he managed to sort it out and find us a space. They had a live DJ on who was pretty good, and the drinks weren't too expensive (3 for a vodka tonic which for a wannabe trendy bar is definitely atthe lower end of the scale). Personally am more of a pub man but as bars go this is a good one. Cheers!

I was at the S Bar for New Years also (downstairs in the main bar). It was full of good-looking, friendly people and had a real fun atmosphere. The bar staff were dealing out the free champagne more liberally than I've ever seen free drinks distributed in a bar before. I've was never there before the facelift but i can attest to the fact that it looks nothing like the photos above.

we had a wicked new years here free hire too, cold beer, not too expensive better since the refurb

Only one word for it...amazing! I was so cheered up by the bubbly bar staff and the great service it made my week!

well...I've been since the 'do-up' and i dont really know what to say...really odd, odd people, no atmosphere, the wine we had was poo. BUT the bar manager was kind enough to let us buy another one! Just a totally souless place, perhaps it will change, its the people that make a place huh?!?!

I agree with Jess. The manager, George Young is fantastic, the service is second to none. It is by far the best venue in the area, and well worth a visit. George and the team have, and are doing an amazing job.

The S Bar has completely changed and is now light, airy and funky. Great food, djs at the weekends and superb private party facilities and catering. The standards have really shot up! A pleasure to finally have somewhere pleasant to go in this area.

Completely agree with the comment below...this place is dead on the average Saturday night. Big screens for sport and a decent range of beers in the downstairs bar. If you're hiring a small function room the upstairs conservatory is ok for 30-40 people...but they chuck out at 12.

possibly one of the weirdest pubs i've ever been in. uncomfortable bar stools, odd odd mixture of people. pretty much always empty except for the private party rooms, which is obviously where they make their money.
